  1. Two of the amp greys I know have had it. Neurontin appears to be the drug of choice
  2. Assuming blood work was done before he dispensed the rimadyl? Did you get a product insert to tell you what to look for if he cannot tolerate the drug? I am one of the few that does not like to use pain meds without knowing why. I would xray. Yes, you can use a NSAID and tramadol. You cannot use pred and an NSAID. You can use tramadol & pred.

  4. Good news! Hopefully what is in her stomach will just move on through! Sending prayers.
  5. Sometimes. I have held dogs that were stitched and assisted in one operation that occurred after hours. If I totally trust the vet, I'll let them take them back without me for routine things like nail trims--I really don't want to be next to Mahogany when they do her nails..... Any vets I use would let me be around for any procedure except xrays and a procedure that requires anesthetic.
  6. Could be a blocked gland. He needs a vet visit. I wouldn't panic yet.
  7. She could have those straps still in her stomach even if she stopped throwing up. Keep a very close eye on her. Sending prayers.
  8. Sending my sympathy & hugs
  9. Another.... This article goes back to 2005, but has good information: http://www2.doh.wa.gov/EHSPHL/Epidemiology...leha_vets05.htm
  10. Sending my sympathy and lots of hugs.
  11. Yes to chiropractic and acupuncture. Sending prayers!
  12. Dog chiropractors (certified by the AVCA) are not at all like human chiropractors. It's a totally different approach and type of adjustment. My vets (who are certified) can tell when there is a serious problem or a fixable problem. Many times they suggest an xray before proceeding, and sometimes when they notice a change, they ask me to get an xray. Usually vets underdose tramadol which is probably why it appears not to work. On a large dog, 100mg every 4 hours is not a big dose. I believe Trudy said tramadol is what Ryan is on
  13. TBD, pneumonia, and (sorry) cancer
  14. I would try acupuncture and chiropractic before surgery.
