  2. Sending prayers. Did they do a tick panel?
  3. At the very least, you would be able to medicate to keep them comfortable. In this case, the outcome does change the treatment protocol and is non invasive.
  4. Yes to chest films! Do films first, and if they are clear, then the vet can go ahead and do the dental
  5. What is the reading? What is his BUN? Many greys run higher in creatine with a normal BUN and we don't pay any attention to it. edited to add: I'm not sure if your readings are the same as ours in numbers so that we'd understand. If you give us the readings, please also give us the normal reference range.
  6. Take her to the vet With good blood work (kidney values may be elevated if she needs a dental) she should be able to have a dental if her overall health is good. The oldest I've done a dental on is 15 yrs 9 months.
  7. Another special angel at the bridge
  8. Have you tried frozen BilJac? Sending prayers!
  9. Several greys have responded to antibiotics even though nothing showed in the cultures. I call it one of the greyhound mysteries.... Sending prayers.
  10. Sending prayers. I have no experience with this. I suggest you email Ohio State and ask them. greyosu@osu.edu
  11. It takes a long time to get back a full thyroid panel. How did they rule it out? Any change in food? Any others in the family of the dog have seizure history? Does she know the breeder? Is he on any meds or supplements?
  12. I think there should be more pictures by now...... What a gorgeous boy. Congratulations!
  13. January 20, 2009 Hi Diane, Winslow is totally over his "bug" and will resume swimming tomorrow. His birthday present from mom and dad arrived today. We allowed him to open it early so he can start using it tomorrow. We got the "swimsuit" that is exactly the one he's used to at the pool. (Without the smell). Although Winslow wasn't so crazy about wearing it in the house (it's kinda stiff) he was happy to get it and looks forward to using it tomorrow. I couldn't make him wait until his birthday. The pfds at the pool are so worn out and they stink. Roger recently bought new ones which are very nice, but they are a little different and Winslow HATES them. He's really happy about this one. He will be modeling his new swimsuit at the party. (Birthday suit?) Glynis Winslow: I think you look smashing!
  14. I agree and at this point I'd see a specialist. Sounds like a lot of guess work going on.
  15. Take him to the vet. If you cannot get a stool sample, they can take directly from his butt
  16. Any vaccines or medications (Frontline, Heartguard, etc.)?
