    Without seeing the dog, it's impossible for us to determine whether or not he needs antibtioctics for a secondary infection. Good thing you are taking him to the vet! edited to add: even if we did see the dog, without listening to his/her chest, we wouldn't know. The dog that I had was in severe distress (and if I remember right, had been seen by a vet several weeks earlier). It's nothing to mess around with.

    How long have you had him? If he is a recent addition, it could take up to 6 months to stop the shedding. Fish oil caps and a good food is all that is required edited to add: by shedding, I mean skin, not hair. Either way, it's about 6 months!

    Yes to what Batmom said. Untreated, some kennel cough can turn into very bad respiratory issues that require antibiotics. Sending prayers!

    I can't remember all the history, but I wonder if you have wormed hm with panacur even if nothing show.s Wouldn't hurt..... Sending prayers!

    Are you adding canned i/d to the kibble? Might warming it up a little in the microwave make him eat a little better (obviously the canned before adding it)?
