  1. My old gal Cali tried it, but it didn't help her. But she had no side effects at all from it. A friend of mine has a dog who's been on it for a number of years without a problem. Good luck. I'd give it a shot if any of my other hounds had issues.
  2. I believe miners used to take canaries into the mines with them and that they were safe as long as the bird was alive, but if it died, it was time to evacuate the mine. Hope the OP is feeling better soonest.
  3. I'm so sorry for your loss. Godspeed Mugsy.
  4. I'm so very sorry. She was quite the beauty. Godspeed Kelsey.
  5. She was a beauty! They all leave such precious memories with us, and that's such a wonderful gift.
  6. My Frasier was on phenobarb for over a year for his seizures. It did control them very well. But the hunger was always there, he was ravenous at every meal and he got a little bit chubby. We worked out a fine balance between it all, but it did take some working on since I also have 6 other dogs. I had to contain him alone for food or else he'd wolf his food down and move on to the next dogs's bowl! He was also on prednisone for SLO so he was always thirsty as well and he was ALWAYS thristy, and I cannot tell you how often he drank my soda or iced tea or coffee! Gosh I miss him so much!
  7. There's a gal on here from Cincinnati whose greyhound had her tail amputated due to cancer. I know her dog Grey had chemo after the amputation and I think she did pretty well. I can't think of her user name here, might be something like Ohmygrey or ohmyability but I'll see if I can find her for you. Ok, it's omyability look her up and send her a PM, I'm sure she'll be happy to share her experience with you. I hope your girl heals up quickly and the biopsy is something not so bad.
  8. Absolutely wonderful news! I do hope her new family will let us know how she does.
  9. Sending many prayers for Lola and for you & your DH and for Rudy.
  10. Ahhh, the girl has spunk! I hope the tune running through Sweet T's little sweet head is "I'll be home for Christmas."
