  5. Has he been on asulfidine (sulfisalazine)? A friends dog has IBD or Ulcerative colitis and without the asulfidine her dog has watery mucusy stools and can't eat and is in pain etc. and so forth. I have a DIL who has Chrones and she is on sulfisalizine and without it she can't function. So just a thought. Hope something works for your boy soon, will be thinking of you both.
  6. Oh my that is one handsome boy! I only wanted to say that it can take a bit for their pesonalities to come out, but it's worth the wait! You've gotten some good advice, give it time.

  16. While I still have 5 dogs, my blind dog Lynch was close to Phantom, not that they played, but they tended to stay in the same room and they ate together etc. Since Phantom has been gone, I have noticed that he rarely stays in the bedroom anymore (he and Phantom used to hang out there during the day) and stays a little closer to me now. He also is whining at dinner time, and that's something new, I figured it was because he can't finish Phantom's food anymore. I kept the routine up and just give him a bit more love and attention than he used to get/require. Some dogs seem to be needier than others and he's needier than he used to be. But then Lynch needs his seeing eye buddy and this is the second one he's lost. Give Cougar a smooch from me and my hounds. He's going to do ok, dogs seem to adjust better than we do to loss (as well as other things too.)

  21. When my Phantom had a dental last September, the day after he must of gone out 15 times. I also saw some tiny little blood clots (REALLY tiny) and then the next day he was fine and back to going out 3 times a day. Vet said it was the anesthesia. Hopefully Ace will be fine in a day or two. : )
  22. My sincerest sympathies, he was a special boy.
