    No better place for his leg to break than at the vet's.If it hadn't broken then, it probably would have broken soon, at home, maybe while he was running in the yard or just walking in the house. That would have meant a lot more pain for him. I hope everything goes well for him (and you) from here out.

    I think with Borax you're supposed to leave it for awhile, then wash it down before the dogs go out where you've used it. Love the corn meal suggestion.

    I had never had anyone's anal glands expressed until last week. 3 of mine went in for routine check, and the vet ad one girl's anal glands expressed. Didn't think there was a problem, but did it just in case, since I had mentioned that sometime sh chewed on her tail.
