  1. This is so sad, I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful dog, that Fuzzy Man.
  2. We are keeping the light on here for you, Peanut. Beth and Pete, this cannot be happening again. It's going to turn out to be something other than the bad stuff ... a sprain, arthritis, you'll see.
  3. Holly, I am so sorry.
  4. I'm so sorry about this. Adopting or fostering another hound might ultimately be what works to ease Henry's pain (and yours) But until you are ready, classes are a good idea. Our local trainer has such a mix of fun and informative classes, and one that the hounds really enjoy is "Doggie Line Dancing" - it doesn't matter if you have two left feet or four left paws, it's just fun. There must be something like this in your area. Just getting out and socializing, or a walk on a new trail, can be very uplifting. You might try Janet Marlow's CD "Zen Dog Music & Massage for a Stress-Free Pet" - I leave this on all day while I'm at work and definitely during a T'storm, it really does seem to keep a calm environment. Rescue Remedy can be incredibly helpful, also.
  5. This is so sad, my heart is breaking for you. How selfless of you to do the kindest thing for your Lucky. You will miss him terribly, but his memories will keep him close to you.
  6. Sending you hugs and prayers today. Please take strength in knowing that you are doing the kindest thing that you can do for your friend.
  7. Yes. Horses compensate this way too, and until they realize that something has changed (this girlie now has beautiful short nails), it takes them a while to even know that they can try going back to the "normal" way of traveling; they've gotten so used to their new way of going.
  8. Robin, I am so sorry. Miss Polli shares the same sire as four of my fur kids. She was a beautiful girlie.
  9. What a beautiful and thoughtful tribute to Sobe. It sounds as tho he prepared you to manage whatever came along with your *14* fosters, way to go . Thank you, Sobe. (I love the refrigerator story.)
  10. I am so sorry. Godspeed, Benny.
  11. I am so sorry. What a beautiful photo to have of your Skipper.
  12. Roscoe, you are one stunning senior fellow! Your mama is the best! Welcome home
  13. Way to go, Ady Bea! And her handlers, too! You will find your work truly rewarding. Pal and Segugio are both Delta-registered, and it is a wonderful responsibility. Your hearts will sing with the joy your visits bring to everyone you meet.
  14. Such cool names for your fur kids. Those jammies are so cute, and bravo with the homemade belly band! I'm so glad to hear your good report
  15. All good. When the boy is not crated, you might try putting a belly band on him, until he gets the message that peeing in the house is not allowed. They generally catch on pretty quickly.
  16. Hmmm... another thought: Which one of you started calling Rufus"Captain Underpants" ?? ETA, sorry for the brain fade. that was reggie, wasn't it.
  17. Oh thank you, I'll probably go check that out. Throughout the day we take turns sitting with her to take the e-collar off so she can rest without it on. But she's in so much pain she's constantly going at it, even with a muzzle. So, I'll definitely check out the soft e- collar. Thanks! I hope it works for her! Let us know. Whisper
