    Chase Is Gone

I'm so sorry. Lindsay, I remember when Chase joined your family and how you couldn't post those pictures of her. I'll bet that those 10 months she spent with you were the best of her life. She was happy and she was loved so much. You got her to the vet as soon as you could. You did good, Lindsay; you really did.
  2. it was cheaper at Winners, but honest, it is soooooo worth it.
  3. I'm so sorry, Mary and Vikas. I remember when we picked Arlie up from her GUR. It was late at night but it was so worth it. It was love at first sight for you and your "foster". I hope she's found Phene and Loca by now and that they are smiling down at you
  4. coould be that she's not stimulated enough. could also be that she's starting to feel at home and is testing her "boundaries" a bit . one of the best investments I ever made was a dog proof trash can. it cost a fortune but has been well worth every penny. I found this simplehuman trash can at Winners a few years ago. Even thief extradinaire Loca (now a bridge angel) couldn't get in, and she could get into almost anything.
  5. I think they would be great first dogs. There are always exceptions, but you asked a general question so I'm giving you a general answer
  6. Welcome from Kitchener, Ontario! You will love living with a greyhound! We'll need lots of pictures, of course
  7. Wow, she is stunning! Thanks for the update. It was fun reading about her adventures
  8. I bought all kinds of mats at Walmart. They have tons in all different sizes.
  9. as others have said, but is probably overwhelmed. can you get her to go outside with treats, although she still might be too overwhelmed to respond to them. give her time and she'll come out of her shell. everything is still new and scary.
  10. Really, don't worry about your five year old. The adoption group will take your entire family into consideration and will find you the perfect hound. I've had three, and all of them have loved children. Everything will be great
  11. I wouldn't worry too much about the five year old. Teach her to respect your dog's space and don't leave them unattended, and everything should be fine, especially if you end up with a hound like my Treasure
  12. I'm so sorry, Carrie. Lilac was very special
  13. what do you think would happen if you didn't use the crate?
  14. Happy Birthday, Gogh. I hope you have a blast
  15. I was so hoping for good news. I'm so very sorry, Judy and Mike. We'll all miss Gee
  16. I put a turnout muzzle on Treasure every time i leave the house. She likes to eat the occasional remote control. every time shr's chewed something, it was my fault for leaving it within her reach. I think that it's difficult with young kids, but is their any way everything can be placed out of her reach before you leave the house?
  17. I was so hoping I wouldn't see Dude's name here for a very long time. I'm so sorry. We'll miss him.

    Chips

I'm so very sorry. You gave him such a loving home home. Things were out of both yours, and Chip' control. He loved you as much as you loved him.
