  1. I think you're worrying too much and he may be picking up on it. Treasure whines a lot sometimes. It's just her way of communicating. Did you put a bed inside your room for him to sleep on at night? Also, the pjs are a great suggestion. Phoenix used to eat poop. It was disgusting. You can put a muzzle with a poop guard on him when you let him out to keep him from snacking.

    I'm so sorry
  3. I caught giardia after I went swimming in subsaharan Africa. It is nasty nasty nasty, especially when you're camping. I feel sorry for any being that has it.
  4. I waited for a while. I didn't receive a response until I contacted Dr. Couto directly.
  5. I agree with the X-ray suggestion, Scott.
  6. Oh no!! Amadeus! Sheila, I'm so very sorry. Your handsome boy was always one of my favorites. Go find your twin, Phene.
  7. I posted about Arwen, the traumatized galgo from Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert, several times. I worked with her a lot while I was there, and when I left, a very dedicated volunteer named Kim took over. Kim adopted her and Arwen went to her new home in Germany on November 25, 2011; not even three weeks ago. As happens so often with traumatized dogs, yesterday she got away. Her lifeless body was found at the train station this morning. They think she touched the electric rail. Arwen had a very hard life and we'll never know the horrors she experienced. She had found a wonderful home and I'm sure her last three weeks were like heaven. Please keep Kim in your thoughts. She is really beating herself up. RIP Arwen. We love you. 8. Shelley, I'm so very sorry
  9. That makes me very happy, Kyle
  10. Happy Birthday Phene! I wish more than anyhting that osteo didn't take you away and that you would have been here to celebrate. I'm going to assume that you're hanging out with Loca and your friends looking for red wine, Guinness, dark chocolate and all of the other stuff I wouldn't let you eat!
  11. It's hard to believe it's been a year. We miss you!

    I'm so very sorry, Melissa
  13. I vaccinate.seems like too much of a risk to the dog not to, plus we cross the border a lot and proof of rabies vaccine is required.
  14. I also cried through this. What a lucky girl she was to have had two such loving, special families, as well as the two families who got to share their lives with her.
  15. Wendy, is Twiggy on a fentanyl patch? Loca had similar symptoms. Turned out her fentanyl patch was placed inside her thigh instead of outside and she was having an overdose reaction. There was a lot more going on than that, but the evet said those particular symptoms were due to the patch. I'm sorry this is happening to you and Twiggy
  16. I'm so sorry. He must've been very special
  17. I know, it's a common solution and as much as I would love 2 dogs, I live in a 700 square foot studio and I am only allowed 2 pets: my dog and my cat. I think he will be fine. He didn't make a single peep in the video from yesterday and we'll see about tonight. I'm home all the time aside from when I work. He'll be fine. Seems like he's already improving a lot. Re: crates, I don't like crates and don't even own one, but I think that until you know that he'll be safe in your home, I would continue to use it, if possible. It might not have to be for a long time, only until you know that he can safely manouver himself around your apartment. I also think that getting a second dog, especially at this point, is a huge committment. You're doing fine and so is Bruce. Oh yea, Treasure enjoys watching trash tv when I'm not home, such as Maury who's your daddy and Jeremy Kyle
  18. I am so very, very sorry for your loss. What an awful shock
  19. I think you're stuck! The only thing that will change is that Ross and his sister will occupy 90% of your bed, while you and your DH get a little space between the pillows and the foot of the bed. If you're lucky!
