  1. Hello from South Carolina Pictures?? eta: double post
  2. Oh no. I have no advice, just prayers and good thoughts!
  3. I am so sorry! I'm sure he is at peace now, without pain and running free
  4. I'd visit and spend time with some. She'll know fairly quickly if they bother her. Fosteing is a good idea too. That way you are not committed to keeping the dog if she gets sick. I have tons of allergies (7 1/2 pages single spaced!) but not to dogs. I have a dalmatian, 2 greys and a Galgo. My dal sheds heavily (as all mine have), my greys are mild...but they DO shed, my Galgo doesn't seem to shed at all or very, very little. The greys seem to affect the allergy sufferers that visit my house much less than my Dal. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.
  5. Thank you! I'm hoping for this outcome too. He played today...that's a good sign again.
  6. Update - They saw nothing in his blood work. He's going to finish out his prescription and then if he is still acting funny he goes in for more detailed blood work and xrays of his legs. Hoping he feels better before it comes to all that! Thanks so much for caring.
  7. She sounds like an amazing girl and I can tell her you loved her very much. Run free Betsy.
  8. Yes. He was walking strangely. Kind of stiff. He's walking fine now, ever since he got some meds. It's strange. The vet did not want to do xrays until we saw if it was a temporary thing or not since he could have been stiff or sore from weather.
  9. My greys are both shedding too! Lucius more than Timmy. My Galgo, however, is holding on to every piece of fur! !
  10. When they test for TBD the usual test is for Ehrlichia and Lymes --- please have them also test for Babesia. Prayers for Lucius and you! I will ask them for that. Thank you!
  11. Thanks guys. He played a little today but has been mostly sleeping. I'll give him a kiss for all of you.
  12. Ok...news. The vet says she he has normal heart rate, pulse, etc. If it were not for his back legs being a little off and some of the other things she would think he was ok. Bloodwork is not in yet, but she gave him some antibiotics and pain killer. She's thinking he could have a tick borne illness. Not saying for sure yet but she wanted to treat him for any infection/tick born illness. We'll be talking to her Monday. If nothing significant comes up in the blood but the meds haven't helped him she will run diff tests and xrays. I shudder at the bills with our current financial pain but he's worth it all and more. I went out to take my disabled friend to the grocery store and when I got back he zoomied and played...he hasn't done that in days. So, hopefully it's minor. Keeping fingers crossed and prayers active.
  13. Both my greyhound boys have bald thighs, bald butts, bald bellies and bald necks. I've had Lucius since April and Timmy since June. Lucius has extremely thin fur so even where he has fur toward those areas you can see through it. Bot the boys are healthy they just...like being bald I guess.
  14. Oh the powers of a worried mommy. He's got a 3:00 appointment today. Cross your fingers it's nothing and I'm just paranoid!
  15. Sooooo cute!!! I've been hoping for pictures of him!
  16. I'll call the vet. I don't have high hopes for getting in around Christmas but we'll def try. Just a normal blood test?
