Pretty girl...rest in peace.

We had the same issue with Wendy when she first came home. DH and I are not dogs-in-the human-bed people and DH was not keen on having a dog in the bedroom, period. Soooo, we tried to baby gate Wendy in the dining room. Whine, whine, jump. Over the gate and into our bedroom. We then put TWO baby gates up, one above the other. Whine, whine, scratch. Finally, I convinced DH to give the poor girl her own bed in our bedroom. Wendy is happy, I am happy and DH now likes having the pup in the bedroom. Can you put a bed for your houndie in your room?

Praying for more happy, healthy years and for strength and peace if a decision needs to be made. Hugs and scritches.

I wonder if there have been any changes in the home, either physical or emotional? Or if something may have frightened him while you were out? Might this have provoked SA?

I am so very sorry. Please stay. Let us comfort you.

In addition to Wellness CORE kibble and canned food and assorted raw meats and bones, Wendy gets Salmon Oil twice a day, and once a day, glucosamine & chondroitin (from Ms. Claudia at Greyhound Gang), Fortiflora (for ) and a PetTab Plus with dinner.

Yikes! Thanks for the heads-up. Wendy is going for her vaccinations, fecal and annual check-up next week.
-
Gentle hugs. Sharing in your grief.

My neutered-practically-at-birth Rhodesian Ridgeback air-humped every morning till the day he died. Vet said just doggie silliness. Maybe your girl is coming into heat?
-
That was my thought, too, after reading that. She wears it only occasionally- maybe thirty minutes once every week to two weeks. Strange. Maybe it's just part of her cuteness
It's a beauty mark!
-
Nope, only metal. Weird!
Maybe from the muzzle?
-
Do you use plastic bowls? My Ridgeback had "fadey nose syndrome" and the vet told me it was an allergic reaction to the plastic bowls. No more plastic, no more fadey nose.

Hey Half-Brother!
You're as cute as I am! Thanks for the food recommendation. The vet gave us some low fat food that I am not crazy about but still eating (because I am a really good girl that way).
When's the next family reunion?
Lyca

Thanks for the tip. This looks like a must-have for the first aid kit.

Wendy's emissions peeled all the paint off the walls the first couple of months. Then we switched to a (mostly) grain-free diet and added Fotiflora to her meals once daily. Now, we rarely get a toot.

Hw will always be with you, Leslie. Thank you for sharing Ryce with us. Gentle hugs from Irene and Wendy,

Thank you for sharing your little girl with us. Her pictures always made me smile. Adios preciosa.

Great resource! Much obliged.

So very sorry.

Precious girl. Rest now. You are loved.

Bang's eyes began to glow bright green in absolute darkness and she was barking something that sounded like "Ph-nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!" Other than that, nothing untoward.

That's comforting!
O.K. Thanks for the feedback. My worry is that the melatonin will have a sedative effect and I like my girl's energy level just as it is.
My only purpose, if I decide to use it, would be to improve her coat.
My friend shared the same concern, she has been using it on her bouncy boy and has seen no change in him at all except that he is sprouting hairs where there was no hair before.
That's it exactly...I don't want to sedate that "bounce" factor! Thank you!
