Samlur poops three times: Firm, medium, pudding. Weird dog.

Hope Poodle is on the mend. It would be nice to have a sticky with the names of low fat foods and the percentage.

Yeah! Glad it is over. Samlur got his dental free for being a "Blood Donor." I did have to pay for the extraction, pain meds, antibiotic and the tooth xray, but even received a discount on that. Yes, they gave me the tooth. 1 1/2 inches long minus whatever had broken off the top.

Samlur had his dental on Thur. One broken tooth was bad and had to be pulled. It was a lower canine. He did well, but was drowsier than my other dogs who had dentals. He is doing fine. I did not eat the whole day and jumped everytime the stupid phone rang. His only issue seems to be his poo is like pudding. I am sure because of the antibiotics and pain med. He gets the yougurt, but pumkin is his favorite.

Does anyone know the average length of the canine on a Greyhound? I forgot to ask the vet.

Yea, it went well and he is a good boy about taking his medicine. All systems go: Eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing, sleeping (hogging the whole bed.LOL.) I had not realized a Greyhounds canines were so long. The extracted tooth is an inch and a half long, and I do not know how much he originaly had broken off a couple months after we adopted him. The vet said it was an easy extraction, so glad of that. Hopefuly it will heal very quickly. He ate his Blue Buffalo, moistened, with green tripe on top, for breakfast. He will get the youghurt with his dinner. So wish we had some canned pumpkin. He loves it so much.

Samlur used to pee on his front leg, but he does not like it and has figured a kinda' lean stand. It works for him.

I know he needs it as other bad problems can also arise, I am just a worrier. He is my dog.

Samlur is to have his dental this coming Thursday. He is in Greyt condition except the teeth. He is young. My vet has several Greys in his practice, uses the proper anesthesia and knows blood values, etc. I am just being a weenie. So many people have so many worse pronlems. Thanks for letting me air my worries.

Just read this thread. I am so happy things are looking up. We went through the cancer with our lovely Rottie Erda. All systems were a go and she adapted so well, without a front leg. My husband and I on the other hand were so stressed. We had three more years of her love. You did the right thing.

I do not know what to say. My heart goes out to all involved. Four lives lost and a lot of pain and broken heart. I have to admit to being afraid to walk Samlur as I am getting older and have had some serious knee surgery fairly recently.

Just want to send hugs and love to all of us who have lost a precious friend over the year, no matter if it is animal or human.

Poor baby. Hope all goes well with the surgery and he gets a warm forever couch soon.
