  1. Here is the damage my adorable, sweet Ollie did! Got to love him... this table was custom made for us 11/08. We paid 2K for it. I almost had a heart attack when I saw this 3 days after the intial damage. But it is all in the furniture hospital getting fixed. Repairable, just expensive and money that could have been put to better use elsewhere. We are spraying the wood in the house and leaving him with large hard bones now instead of just toys. I don't want to leave the kong because if it goes under a piece of furniture he may start gnawing at the wood.
  2. My Teddy is NOT other breed/small dog safe but is perfectly fine with our 3 kitties.
  3. I am very sorry for your loss.
  4. VERY EXCELLENT ADVICE HERE! Agreed. Wonderful advice. This is a totally workable situation. Beau had had enough and had probably given a warning that everyone missed. Since no one picked up on whatever warning he gave (probably body language) next came the nip- no bite. HUGE difference. I am very happy to hear that your son is OK. I have a 2 year old grand daughter who is here all the time with my 5 greyhounds.
  5. Furniture has been removed to the "furniture" doctor. 3 large pieces of furniture and the chair to the desk is going to cost me $700.00 to repair. It would have cost a lot more to replace. We picked bitter yuck and it is really yucky. My already huge bedroom is soooooooooooooooooooooo big without the furniture. Tempting not to bring it back in! good thing I love Ollie....
  6. I was waiting for the update. How was the doc? Was your wait long? I am so glad you got in today rather than the 18th. Sending loads of good thoughts and prayers for your little guy.
  7. Aww Gabby! No wonder your mom failed! Welcome home!
  8. I am so sorry Anne. She sounds like one in a million.
  9. Just sitting her shaking my head. I am so sorry.
  10. Congrats! She is very pretty!

    Celebrating Lily

God Speed Beautiful, sweet Lily. I am so happy I got the chance to meet you. Shana- email me any pictures you want posted and I will get them up for you. Do you have photobucket?
  12. I am sorry, so very sorry. We had Polli let go at our home, on her bed, surrounded by us and her pack. They knew. They all came to say good bye. They were sad for a few days, quiet, subdued but back to "normal" (and I do use that word loosely here ) within a few days. I was very relieved to be able to do it at home. Polli stressed horribly at the vet. I did not want that to be the last thing she remembered. Sigh. I wish there was something I could say to make it better for you.
  13. Hey you! Now, you guys can ALL join us on our walkies! Can't wait to meet the new kid on the block!
  14. When I called, I spoke to one of thie rprsentatives who knew nothing other than it was being discontinued and had "no further info".
  15. I am so sorry. I have been thinking about you recently.
  16. Quite frankly, if I was able to give Beau peanut butter and bread, I wouldn't have to be thinking about unflavored tabs!!! I don't care about the cost. I just wnated the pills which I may not have after this year so it's a moot point.
  17. I did call. That is hoow I found out it's discontinued. I have enough for this season- sort of. Nothing else comes unflavored and with Beau I am so hesitant to try anything new.
  18. Since Beau has IBD he can only have the unflavored heart worm. We do heartworm from April-- Oct. Heartgard has discontinued the unflavored tabs until 2012. I can not believe it. I did a massive search online and found some pills at Foster and Smith. Even the canadian pharmacys are out. But get this, they will only fill a script for 3 pills. I had to have my vet write the script for Beau AND Ollie - 3 pills each so I have enough for this upcoming season. Guess what? the pills expire in April- when I will start to give them. This is going to be rough for all the dogs who have IBD and can not take any other heartworm pills. My vet has a powder which she is vile tasting that she can compound for us if we need it, but sheesh. Nothing is easy for poor Beau.
