  1. Did she feel anything in the paw? Arthitis? I would wait 5 days from the time the limp started again and take him in for x-rays. He will need to be NPO and have bllod work prior to anethesia. Take a flashlight and magnifying glass and check his toes, feet, webbing for an injury or corns. This happened to my Polli. She was limping for 5 days, I bought her in and she was fine the day I brought her in. Becasue of all the manipulation with the xrays her limping was a million times worse after i got her back. She continued to limp for almost 6 weeks. Then she got better and every once in a while she limps. Her results were clean. Good luck, I will keep Coby in my prayers. NPO= nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before
  2. Sending loving thoughts and prayers for you and Mr. Cody's way. Hugs.
  3. My Teddy has showed a slight heart murmur when EXTREMELY stressed so I did not vote. If I had voted it would be "sometimes"!
  4. I just saw this. I hope he continues to get better and has a comfortable night, poor boy.
  5. I think all of our first reactions about limping is thinking the worst. I have 4 dogs and ALL of them have some sort of limp intermittently. I hope that Laddie's limp will improve and prove to be nothing serious.
  6. OH NO. I am so sorry. Run Free Sweet Dear boy. You will be missed by many.
  7. All 4 of mine play and always have. Once one gets going... they all do.
  8. My dogs don't have to ask, they have me trained well. When it's dinner time, I am making dinner for them!
  9. Hoping everything goes smoothly and loving thoughts your way!

I am so sorry for your loss. She is a beautiful girl.
  11. Along with this site, golden greys on yahoo groups is a good source of info.
  12. Welcome, I agree with RobinW. A simple nip on a grey could wind up infected...
  13. I personally, would never bring my dogs to a dog park. As I believe someone from this board said greyhounds and dog parks= accident waiting to happen. I let mine run in a fenced in school yard. It took us 8 months to find one, but we did!
  14. OH IRIS. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry. I can not begin to imagine. Hugs to you all.
  15. Welcome from NY. Beautiful pups!
  16. www.deadfleaz.com They are in AU but they deliever quick and their prices are very good. Congrats on your hound. Pictures???
  17. Teddy who had been holding up both paws, mostly his right intermittently was diagnosed with a buldging disk. Other than pain management when necessay, there is nothing to do. Vet said we could try holistic. We switched to harness and all has been status quo. It took 3 weeks to get the appointment for today at 1PM. For the last 3 days Teddy has shown NO limping, his gait is not off and he is not holding up either paw. So, do we go for the 1.5 hour consult and see what they say? Do we treat a dog with acupuntcure who is not having any visable signs of distress?
  18. I couldn't beleive this when I read it on XMAS day and I can't beleive it now. I am so sorry. Run free sweet Carlee.
  19. Chloe had the same thing a few weeks back. I gave it a few days and it went away. Glad to hear the vet didn't see this as serious. Happy to hear it looks better too!
  20. I too, would take him in ASAP. Greyhounds are known to be stoic, if he is letting you know, he must be very uncomfortable. Poor baby. Prayers for nothing serious. Please update.
