  1. Thanks. I can capsule it. I have 100s of empty caps when I was trying different meds on Beau.
  2. should know this already but with all that Beau went through with his GI issues, I forgot the answer. Does panacur upset the tummy under normal circumstances? Meaning using it as a prophylactic? Elsie is going to start it tonight and I want to be prepared if she doesn't feel hungry. I want to know if it could be from the panacur. The farm wormed her, do yout hink I still need to do it? She was transported to another farm for several days waiting for the haul east? If I don't have to, I'd prefer not to.
  3. Welcome from LI. I'm sure we will see you at some of our meet and greets. We look forward to it. How about some pictures?

  10. Sounds like you got good advice, I just wanted to add my prayers for your very special lady.
  11. I am so sorry. I lost my very beautiful Polli to OS after amp & chemo . She made it just 5 short months. It just broadsided her.
  12. Each dog is different and it really is an individual thing. Beau is close to racing weight. Chloe is about 7 pounds above racing weight. Teddy is 11 pounds above racing weight. None of my dogs are overweight.
  13. I am so sorry for your loss.
  14. Any questions... feel free to contact me. Beau started at 40mg of pred. Raised 2-3 weeks later to 50mg and 50 mg of imuran. Started doing well, gaining weight etc. Back down to 40, then 30, now 20 mg of pred and still at 50 imuran. the only food he eats is z/d ultra dry and or wet. treats are the hills hypoallergenic cookies. he also gets poached tilapia and dried tilapia jerky that we make. That is it. nothing else. If he is on the meds and you are diligent, it is managable.
  15. Just seeing this. continued prayers. I am so sorry.
  16. I am so sorry. Hugs to you.
  17. Sounds totally normal with the added bonus of it sounds like she is eating, peeing and pooping!! Many dogs when first adopted, don't eat, pee and or poop! So, it sounds like things are wonderful. There is a reason they are called 45mph couch potatos!!! Try walkies, they love to do that and it's a greyt way to bond!
  18. We dropped Polli off and 9AM. She had her labs done and then her chemo. We picked her up by 11:30. She wasn't very hungry for the first 3-5 days following chemo and was a bit droopy. Vet said that was a good thing. (it didn't do us much good in the end, I'm afraid) because it meant the chemo was working.
  19. My sweet Polli is here, with me on my night table.
  20. Oh man, I am sooo sorry to be reading this. You have my continued prayers.
