Abel has a sore nose, looks like he was rubbing it against the carpet. He was fine in the morning but this is what it looked like when I got home from work. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to help the healing process? It has been like this for a couple of days, it starts to look like it is healing and than it will bleed a little.

I use Metamucil capsules. I open one and put it in with their food. It seems to do the job

Abel loves the fruit flavored Tums, he gets one when I take them. When his tummy is really upset I give him Pepcid, which the Vet recommended

If Advantage bothers her, maybe you could use just a half of tube. I have been using advantage for years and have never had a problem. I buy the one for 55 lbs and over and split one tube between to dogs, one 65 lbs and one 75 lbs. I have never seen a flea on them and I do not apply evey month, maybe every two months.

My first hound I took a week off, she came right from a group but was never in a foster home, and she adjusted very well in a week. When I went back to work, I would come home at lunch to put her out to potty, but I soon stopped that because she would look at me like, why are you waking me up My 2nd and 3rd hounds had lived in homes before so they were fine with Friday, Saturday and Sunday to get into the routine. Greyhounds are use to a routine , so I would suggest to get on a routine that works for everyone and try to stick to it. Congratulations on your new hound

Sending good thoughts for Shelby. Kerri who is 11 lost nine teeth including all her canines this past September, she has 4 little teeth left in her mouth. Prior to her last dental, her eating was off, it was a hard dental for her because her gums were so bad, they wouldn't hold the stitches, she was at the Vets for 4 days and lost about 5 lbs. It wasn't long before she was eating her kibble with a little water, she doesn't like it real wet. She gain her weight back in no time and now she eats like a little pig Her personality has become more playful and she has become more of a cuddle bug. Those nasty teeth were really putting a damper on her style
