krissn333
Hi everyone, I need some help! A dear friend's hound was just diagnosed and is having an amp tomorrow, rear leg. Please say a little prayer for Jolley. He's 11.5 but in excellent shape. She is wanting info on chemo - she has been through this before (unfortunately) and at the time got Caboplatin from OSU. I read at the start of the most recent osteo thread that OSU isn't doing that anymore? Is that true? Is there any program that is? Any contact info I can pass on to her is SO appreciated! greysmom
Have her vet sontact the OSU vet school. I *think* they are still rpoviding free carbo, but the program was due to be phase out. The other place to check is with Dr Couto's new consulting business. At one point, I believe he was going to re-start his free chemo program there. http://www.coutovetconsultants.com/for-ownersadopters/ Quote Chris - Mom to: Felicity (DeLand), and Andi (Braska Pandora) siggy by Chris Harper, on Flickr Angels: Libby (Everlast), Dorie (Dog Gone Holly), Dude (TNJ VooDoo), Copper (Kid's Copper), Cash (GSI Payncash), Toni (LPH Cry Baby), Whiskey (KT's Phys Ed), Atom, Lilly
tbhounds
Contact Dr Couto--I believe they have a program where your vet orders the chemo from a specific distributor and your vet will be reimbursed.
