PatricksMom
Not worth it, it would cost more than whatever I found at the drugstore years ago. Looking for a pair that might actually be worth sharpening in the future. Quote Beth, Petey (8 September 2018- ), and Faith (22 March 2019). PatricksMom
Miltex is a very good brand but, they can be very expensive. Looked into those, thanks, I'd rather spend more than keep dealing with crap from the drug store. EMTs and nurses seem to like this brand, although I'll probably go with the $33 vs. the $122 Quote Beth, Petey (8 September 2018- ), and Faith (22 March 2019). dmswartzfager
The vet hospital at which I used to work gifted us with these scissors a few years ago, and I've been quite happy with them: http://www.amazon.com/Miltex-Nurses-Scissors-Pink/dp/B002MC5SM4/ref=sr_1_1?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1440487092&sr=8-1&keywords=miltex+5-700 Edited August 25, 2015 by dmswartzfager Quote Deanna with galgo Willow, greyhound Finn, and DH BrianRemembering Marcus (11/16/93 - 11/16/05), Tyler (2/3/01 - 11/6/06), Frazzle (7/2/94 - 7/23/07), Carrie (5/8/96 - 2/24/09), Blitz (3/28/97 - 6/10/11), Symbra (12/30/02 - 7/16/13), Scarlett (10/10/02 - 08/31/13), Wren (5/25/01 - 5/19/14), Rooster (3/7/07 - 8/28/18), Q (2008 - 8/31/19), and Momma Mia (2002 - 12/9/19). PatricksMom
I use regular scissors. It's never been a problem. Dh does most of the bandaging, he hates regular scissors for removing old ones. I figure if he's willing to do it (while I feed the potentially biting end the treats), may as well get him to the tool he wants. Quote Beth, Petey (8 September 2018- ), and Faith (22 March 2019). macoduck
Locally you could check out at uniform supply shop. They often have nurses' scissors. Hubcitypam
If you ever need scissors or knives sharpened asked around a local restaurants that you may frequent. In most hotels or chains where I ever worked in (Chile's, TGIFriday's, On the Border) the knife/scissor sharpener would come by once a month....
