Batmom
What are the lab norms for those values, Kari? Usually you don't worry about ALT/AST unless you have symptoms or the value is several times the upper limit. Can be just an artifact from the blood draw. Batmom
They should be on your bloodwork -- you want the normals for the lab that did the bloodwork . Unless your lab has really weird normals, tho, your HGB, HCT, and Creatinine are all fine. Greyhounds should be a little high on HGB/HCT, and often are a little high on creatinine. seeh2o
Maybe you should email the numbers to Jean Dodds for her interpretation. The creatinine looks a lot like Carl and Claire's, they often run a tiny bit higher than "normal". When Claire's creatinine came back 1.7 last June, Jean noted next to the level that it was "normal for breed". I was relieved to read that. I get all their blood work run through Jean's lab, unless we're running something like TBD titers.
