(last summer sometime) to cut off a broken nail, he went into major weird heart arrythmias and scared us all. It's been 18 months, and he really needs his teeth cleaned; so all meds are being changed/adjusted accordingly, and heart drugs are being drawn up ahead of time to be ready "just in case." Since I'm an employee, he'll be bumped if any other serious sx case comes in......but I'm hoping we'll just get this over with AND I SWEAR I WILL START BRUSHING HIS TEETH REGULARLY. It improved existing tartar on 2 of my 3 dogs. Please let me know how it goes -- you know how I feel about the big, black lapdog of a houndie. Anesthesia went well....they were VERY careful this time. Dr. Heather said his heart held up like a rock. Ginigvitis way in the back...no extractions. However, laying on that dental table for an hour sure made him sore. He stood up in the car all the way home, couldn't seem to be able to bend comfortably to lay down. Took a short walk-about, he limped the whole way. He did manage to eat his dinner, & I forked over some Tramadol....now he's in his favorite spot sound asleep. Thanks for all the good wishes....
