Seizure Med Costs

Recommended Posts

So, I have bought Steaks meds at a few different places now and Costco is the best!

His Zonisamide was $148.00 for a one month supply of pills (180 pills) at Walgreens. At Costco I paid $56.05 for 360 pills :yay

I don't remember what I paid for the Keppra, something like $30 for 260 pills. Not sure exactly since I threw the reciept away and can't find it. I'll try to remember to keep it next time.

Do any of you do mail in? What prices are you paying?

I get Noelle's pheno at Brookshire's, better price than even Wally world-her holistic meds come from the vet & are reasonable. She doesn't care for 1 of the new powders very much as next week when I get my SS check I'm going to get her some fruit roll to hide it in. This idea came from a woman on the EPI list as she had to find a way to get a med into her dog & of couse we can't use pill pockets. Most of the people on the EPI list order from a place in Canada for a reasonable price.

My vet has a distributor who delivers meds. they beat the costco price and any other price. seizure meds can get pricey. I love my vet! :)

I get Piper's Pb at Costco. Costco also had by far the best price on Gabapentin when I tried that for Piper. I do get his KbR from a pharmacy in California by mail. I generally order about once a year and get two bottles (liquid) at a time. Very reasonable.

wow, it was just the opposite for Rainey's Zonisamide and Keppra (levitiracetam, we used the generic) at Costco -- the Keppra was like $148 at Walgreens for 1 month and like $84 for 2 months at Costco, and the zoni was only like $48 for 60 days. I don't know what we would have done without Costco!!!

sooo glad to hear Steak is doing so well! :yay :yay I've seen every update to the other thread (had it emailed every time a post was made) as I was very concerned about him (and you! :)). Sending more hugs! :grouphug
