greg1229
Ok, those of you that have been keeping up with Baby Girl.. After having part of her tail amputated 3 weeks ago, I went to the vet last week for a bandage change. Leave it Baby to surprise us. When they removed the bandages, only ONE suture was there. the other THREE somehow vanished into a parallel universe.. So 3 sutures were but in and today we went for the bandage change and all sutures accounted for. We had hoped to be removing sutures and starting her on her meds for her gums. But with the new sutures being put in it's now one more week (provided her tail heals like it should) before we start those meds. So let's knock on wood.. EllenEveBaz
Very talented girl. I forget -- how are the sutures and gum medicine related? greg1229
Very talented girl. I forget -- how are the sutures and gum medicine related? She has a immune disease that is causing her gums to be red and irritated. Her immune systems is seeing the normal bacteria and plaque in her mouth as an infection. After a gum biopsy we got the diagnosis. And to cure that, she has to go on immune-suppresent drugs. But with the "happy tail" issue and the amputation of part of her tail we have to wait until the tail is healed before start the immune drugs for her gums. If we were to start the drugs for her gums that would cause problems on her tail healing... It's always something with this little foster Quote Isis, Always in my Heart Bijou, My Sweetest Angel
