House And Hitchie

Recommended Posts

Today was a good day for the boys. All the bandages look good and they're up and eating and out in the yard. I'll be anxious to see how Hitchie's neck looks tomorrow when he goes in for a bandage change. Hopefully, a lot better than it did on Friday.

Hitchie and his huge neck bandage and the sutures on his side. He has been so good about leaving those alone. I think he's so irritated with the huge thing around his neck that he doesn't even think about anything else.

House and that troublesome tail of his (with a little bit of my pillow therapy in the background). The other place on his side is the one that really should be bothering him but he has been leaving that one alone.

Here is his tail...it looks really good and clean today (compared to yesterday!). He has stitches on his right cheek which you can't see here. I have to muzzle him most of the time to keep him from messing with them.

Hitchie...enjoying a nice day, regardless of that thing around his neck.

And still handsome as ever.

I'm so sorry you're going through this, and am sending thoughts for a quick, complete and uncomplicated recovery for each of you.

House is, of course, handsome as ever.

Good trip to the vet. Hitchie's neck looks 100% better than it did on Friday. All of the black looking tissue the vet was afraid was dead is now nice and pink and he was able to have the drain removed. House's tail is also coming along. The bottom side still looks rough but the vet said it's healing just like it should. His side is also doing well. Overall, she was very pleased with the progress and told me to keep doing what I'm was doing. Both boys go back in on Thursday. In the past week, I've been there Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and today. I think I could drive there with my eyes closed!

My day is tomorrow...ugh....I'm dreading it. Wish me luck. I'll check in when I can.

I am glad things are coming along well. Just wanted to say the surgeon did a really nice job of stitching House's tuck area; looks really good. And I hope the tail continues to do well, they are SO slow to heal. And of course, wishing you luck for tomorrow.

Now we're all stitched and bandaged. My surgery went well; they were able to somehow close it up without a graft which I'm excited about. Even better, I got to come home yesterday!! I can't say it doesn't hurt but at least it's over and now we can all get well. The boys go back in tomorrow for a bandage change...House has been messing with his tail so I've had to muzzle him. It doesn't look like he's upset anything. I go back to my surgeon on Friday for my bandage change and to find out where I go from here!!! Things are definately looking up!!!!
