Greyhound Health and Wellness Conference

3/6/2010 8:30 AM

The Ohio State University

College of Veterinary Medicine

The First Annual OSU Greyhound Health and Wellness Conference will present valuable medical and surgical information for Greyhound owners, adopters, trainers, and for veterinarians involved in the care of Greyhounds. Topics will include idiosyncrasies in Greyhound lab work and imaging (X-rays and ultrasound), anesthesia, and bone cancer (both from the owners' and oncologists' perspectives), among others. There will be a joint morning session for the whole group; the afternoon sessions will be separate for owners/adopters and for veterinarians.

I am so bummed about this. I will be in Georgia for Sandy Paws.

Janet & the hounds Maggie and Allen Missing my baby girl Peanut, old soul Jake, quirky Jet, Mama Grandy and my old Diva Miz Foxy; my angel, my inspiration. You all brought so much into my light, and taught me so much about the power of love, you are with me always.
If you get the chance to sit it out or dance.......... I hope you dance! Missing our littlest girl.

Looks like registration is already closed--bummer :(

I emailed someone up at OSU. The registration has not opened yet. You can only do so much with a form. Hope to see you there. Some of us have a tough decision to make about which event to attend that week-end.

Keep checking in on the site... it is a glitch that it says registration has closed. It will "open" sometime soon... I"ll try to post an update when I get one.

I registered today also...the confirmation email they sent has info on pet friendly hotels..do you suppose the greyhounds are invited??

I would think not--might be just too distracting at times. You could call the CE office and ask.

I have a cousin who lives in Columbus, but not sure where in relation to the campus.

Which hotel will you (GTers who are attending) stay?

Anyone want to share a ride?

I would be happy to help with directions, logistics, etc. I am lucky enough to live in the Columbus area. What city does your cousin live in? If she is within Columbus city limits she should be no farther than 20 minutes from OSU. OSU and the Vet School is located just a couple of miles north of downtown Columbus (right in the center of everything).

She is in Lewis Center OH 43035

Looks like 15-20 minutes from campus?

What part of campus will the conference be held?

Yep, Lewis Center is only about 20 min away. The vet hospital is towards north campus.
