patricia Posted December 4, 2008 Author Share Posted December 4, 2008 Thanks all. Our little man is in surgery. The dentist came in and checked his tooth and talked to me. The tooth is already devitalized and turning black. I hope he is in and out and back home rightawayquik! He was very nervous and shaking...and wanting to go home and have his breakfast and bone. They suggested that possibly CET chews may be a better choice for the Flashman? Does anyone use them? They just look like they could choke so easily with those. Also...I am concerned about one of his liver values...His ALT was 228 and normal range is 12-118. This was not a fasting blood draw and he ate 2 hours previous to the lab work. Flashy is doing well...but they found three other teeth that need to come out. 2 of which have very deep pockets...and the third is a dead tooth. RobinM Posted December 4, 2008 Share Posted December 4, 2008 Believe me, I understand the frustration with bad teeth. I adopted Polli off the farm at 8.5 and at her first dental she lost 17 teeth. Since that time, i brush her teeth everynight. EVERY NIGHT and I still have had to give her 3 dentals in 13 months which is crazy but she needs it. Hope Flashman comes home soon. He just went into recovery and they are placing him on a warming mat...His body temperature is 96.5~he had 4 extractions. Please keep the prayers coming for our little man.
