Guest MyCody
Cody put us in the poor house eating NOTHING but pork loin, fresh veggies for over a year and a half on orders from his holistic vet and he did fine on it. I made shredded pork, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, spinach, green beans and cranberries and he loved it. After he lost 25 pounds which was our goal, I slowly got him back on canned and dry dog food. Don't know why that sign is at the vet's???? I'm sending healing thoughts to Bell. We don't leave Cody who is almost 13, either because of how stressed he gets just pulling into the parking lot at the vets.

silverfish
Gosh, I'm just seeing this - I'm so sorry to hear Bell is in trouble. I hope to hear good news very soon. :hope SIGN IN OUR VETS OFFICE-----Pork will KILL your dog. What? Half a piece of bacon is going to kill my dog? I do not understand. Me neither! All of my dogs have eaten pork - including pig ears on a very regular basis. Jim lived to thirteen and a half (best guess), and died of congestive heart failure. Jack is now over thirteen and Renie coming up ten. They've had pork sausage, roast pork, ham, bacon ... I don't understand that sign at all! I wouldn't worry about that, Melissa. GreyKarma
Prayers she continues to get better. Baytril is a good antibiotic. I think the Pork issue is for some smaller breeds, terriers etc. for some reason their systems can react to it.
