Modeling coats, testing collars, holding down dog beds with your whole body. Checking the great outdoors for cats four times a day is an ambitious routine for the most dedicated dog. I remember bringing that boy off the truck with Turbo and he wouldn't let Turbo lie down the whole time. I remember waiting in the parking lot for his foster home to pick him up and he and George was mauling me for treats. There is so much that could be said about George, he was such a wonderful ambassador for the greyhound community. This is a huge loss for us all. Guest jg_consult Posted October 17, 2008 Share Posted October 17, 2008 We just couldn't get in front of his illness. George broke two bones in his front paw in July. We now realize that this was a symptom of the problems in his back right leg. The orthopedic surgeon suspects synovial sarcoma in the joint area around the knee.
