Oh, how terrible. I'm so sorry for your loss...

I think this sometimes just happens. My grey is 12 years old, has been under anesthesia quite a few times and had no problems whatsoever until last winter when he had to go under for some testing. It was the same protocol my regular vets had used on him for years. Something happened though and he reacted very badly, temp started going way up, heart rate went up, etc. A few weeks later, he was back under for major surgery and did just fine with it (I think the same drugs were used but a specialist administered and oversaw it). I wish I could give you a better answer...

How terrible for you. I am so sorry. The same thing happened to my neighbor's dog, a non-grey. A routine procedure and something went terribly wrong. It happens maybe more than we know, but that does not make it any better when you ar ethe one getting that awful phone call. My sympathy to you for the loss.

I'm so very, very sorry for your loss!

I know how hard it is to lose your friend so suddenly and unexpectedly. It's so shocking to bring them in for something that nobody really has any worries about and then find out so soon after you drop them off that they have passed. My heart is breaking for you.

So very sorry, hon. Our thoughts are with you. (Especially when my youngest grey is at the vet right now, under anaesthesia...)

I am so sorry. The thought of putting pups under anesthesia always sounds so scary, especially when things like this can happen out of the blue. I hope that your friends and family will be able to help you get through this.

I am so sorry to read this.

I haven't personally lost one to anesthesia but we've lost kennel dogs suddenly and it's still sad and confusing. Sometimes they can tell us what they suspect happened and other time nobody knows. It just happens - even with the expd. vets....

Hopefully soon all the good memories you have of this girl will speak to you over this loss.
