Guest hamiesmom Posted May 16, 2008 Share Posted May 16, 2008 I never thought I would have to post a remembrance this soon. Hamie went to the bridge, yesterday afternoon, with DH and I by his side. A few weeks ago, he had his 10th birthday and within 3 weeks he became very ill and crossed the bridge to meet many of his friends. This absolutely gorgeous red fawn, sweet, gentle soul came into our lives almost 4 years ago and walked into our house as he belonged there. He was a rehome and from day one there were no issues whatsoever. He adored DH and when they went out together, they always went for a little run. When they came back into the house, Hamie and the silliest grin on his face. He loved his Daddy very much and vice versa. We had a special bond and he has left a big hole in my heart which will take some time to heal. Hamie's paws will be very hard to fill. I miss his zest for life, food, cookies, treats, walks and car rides. God speed sweet boy. You are now pain free to run with angels.
