We have four NylaBones in our house. I call them the testicle toy. My dogs love them and they have lasted with no problems. -
Sounds like "stud tail" and it's not a problem. Dogs have a scent gland (precaudal gland) in their tails. Some dogs will bald where it is and some don't. All my neutered males have had it. Run a search for "stud" in this forum and there are several threads.

I would start with 10 mg. and see how it works. A while back, someone posted a link with a reference from a Vet or two stating that the starting dose is 10 mg. In a high stress situation, like for our two thunder freaks, I give 15 mg at the onset of a storm.
