She was treated up here in the frozen North . So she won't have been reinfected.

A friend has recently adopted a 6 year old girl who was very ill with babesia 2 years ago - lethargy; anorexia & weight loss; difficulty breathing; "internal bleeding". She was treated with 2 injections of Imizol. She is now seemingly very healthy and happy. (and very sweet ) Can this disease reoccur? Does she need to watch for anything in particular? Does she need followup bloodwork of any kind? Anthing she needs to know? Thank you all in advance.

I believe it was the foster that was being checked for the thyroid problem not Tiger. Fingers crossed that Tiger's problem is as simple as a UTI!

NSAIDS are an extremely useful group of medications but they do have risks and occasionally serious ones in both humans and dogs. It is always important to be informed users - to neither use or avoid the drugs thoughtlessly. I am so glad you were on top of things with your baby and he is doing so much better now
