I wish, D. His left leg is 2.5 times the size of his right leg. He's in pain. So, we're back from the vet $100 poorer, with pain meds in hand. This vet is just his "boo boo" vet. Nice guy, but he doesn't listen and doesn't have diagnostic equipment. This visit was just a band aid until we can get Adam to his real vet on Saturday. I don't care what it costs; I just want Adam better. Still keeping the e-vets numbers handy, too. A lot can happen from now to Saturday, so I want to be prepared. Hope we see some positive improvement in the next 24 hours! Oh Sis!! You know I am sending you, Adam, and Amber the most healing thoughts. I know how practical, knowledgeable, calm and greyhound savvy you are. I also know how scared you are. I make the same offer to you that you made to me. Let me know and please keep us all posted.

This is the type of kidney disease my Pearl has. She was diagnosed last year right around this time. So far, so good. My Pearl sends more hugs to your Pearl!

Welcome home Lucky Louie!! I love his little white eyelashes Heather. How old is he again? I want to say 8.

I am glad you are taking him to the vet Judy. Hard to decide what to do for the old timers for the many reasons you have already brought up. I had to take Future to the vet recently. I hated to do it because he hates riding in the car so much now. But he was losing weight and I couldn't just let him waste away to nothing. We did numerous senior tests, all coming back negative. Best we can determine is he is just getting older and his system does not work as efficiently as it once did. His weight has since stabilized and he has even gained a pound or two. I had to know that though. Good luck with Jack. Please let us know how you make out!

Oh no Judy!! I worry constantly about this with Future on the ice this time of year. So far, so good. Please give Jack a gentle kiss from me and here is a for you I am sure you are very scared for your old man.
