When you open the can it actually smells like dog food and he's eats it well. It is not uncommon for kidney dogs to have eating issues. Bullitt goes through spells where he will eat three small meals instead of two big ones. Some days he only eats one meal but eats a bunch the next day.

My vets told me that a healthy dog will not starve itself to death. Myself, I continue to feed the same food until they eat. I have found the more I switch things around, the pickier they get. The only time I add anything is if it's a senior dog who is not doing well and then I will add some canned dog food to their kibble.

Symptoms sound like what my girl had years ago. It was HGE. A few days on Metronidazole and she was fine. Hope your girl is feeling better soon.
