  1. Even with a runner they are using staples and if you ever remove the runner you can wipe the stairs with a wet sponge, the water will go in the holes and cause the wood to swell and close the holes, the water evaporates and no more holes. Ever hit a piece of wood with a hammer and leave a small divot? You can do the same trick with a rag dampened with warm to hot water. Just let the rag sit on the divot, keep checking it and it should come right out. Of course if it's a huge divot it may not come out all the way, this is for those small unsightly misses. Works well when you want to leave it natural or stain it and can't use wood filler.
  2. Those are the nicest looking treads I've ever seen.
  3. I'd get a runner, it's not that permanent. Putting down those squares won't do much good unless you secure them to the stairs as they can still move and cause slipping. Plus a runner looks better.
  4. Remind me not to use the spoons at your house.
  5. Couch, pillows, comforter, carpet, people, himself... you name it, Cody has licked it.
  6. Take away his needles until he learns not to knit so aggressively!
  7. A couple of big gusts here. Hounds don't care but one big gust splintered the 2x4 that was holding the doors shut for the dumpsters at the condo. We were outside when it happened and it made a pretty spectacular sound.
  8. VPI blows. I got $330 back on an $1650 bill for Cody when he was kept overnight for fluids and observation at the e-vet after he went hyperthermic during his dental. I knew the routine dental wasn't covered but neither were any of the extractions or the overnight stay.
  9. Just more good thoughts for Isis here.
  10. Happy Bridge Birthday Tuna.
  11. I get mine from the Vitamin Shoppe.
  12. Oh no, I'm sorry Heather. Enjoy the time you have left!
  13. Sorry about the bad news. Been there, done that, it sucks, I know.
  14. Glad to hear it went better than Cody's dental. She'll be back to herself in no time.
  15. I'll let you know when I get back home from Dewey. My vet did Cody's original dental and has used the same thing for years. I'm not sure what the surgeon used when he had his leg surgeries. It was Cody's lucky day as they had a board certified anesthesiologist working with the doctor that day. He only spiked to 104 (103.7 IIRC) and had him back below 102 within 10 minutes. I think his pre surgery temp was 101.8.
  16. With my Pretty it was just shy of 3 months with just meds. She had a couple of good weeks just before it went downhill fast.
