  1. The water indicator was tripped so it's unlikely they would take it back... BUT, this is a work provided phone so I'll have a replacement in the morn.
  2. iPhone no workie. I plug it in to charge, get the low charge signal then after a few minutes I get the Apple logo, but then it could sit there for an hour an never boot, plus it gets really hot.
  3. Thanks. Ordered. Oh and we achieved roach status earlier this afternoon.
  4. Pinky seems to be doing even better today, she is more alert and has hopped up on the couch and my bed as usual. I knew she was feeling better when she came trotting into the kitchen at the sound of a crinkling bag.
  5. This is reduced dose, 81mg. I don't have a pill splitter, just a really sharp knife. I'll see if I can get a splitter.
  6. Pinky is home! We returned from the vet at about 4:30, she and Cody sniffed a hello and then she went straight for her favorite bed in the living room where she remained until I called "dinner" and she was up and ready to eat. She is still a little wobbly so we took a short walk but she did good considering where she was 36hrs ago. As suspected she's on 1/4 of a baby aspirin once a day potentially for life. She had 2 chest x-rays, an ultrasound and a thyroid test. Results from her thyroid test should be back Monday but the chest x-ray did show a small spot of something but the doc is referring it to a radiologist so we know more on Monday. It only showed up in one of the x-rays and not the other and the ultrasound tech couldn't find it either. It feels good to have her back home but am anxious to know the rest of the test results. Oh and trying to quarter a baby aspirin takes skill w/o mashing it to bits!
  7. No mention of therapy yet, I suspect we'll talk more when I go to pick her up.
  8. The doctor just called and said Pinky is remarkably better today. She is up, walking on her own, eating, normal bodily functions, wagging her tail and smiling at people. Based on the quick recovery they are suspecting stroke and are now running some tests to determine the cause and will also schedule an abdominal ultrasound sometime next week. Blood and urinalysis have come back normal already. Best part is she gets to come home! They will call me later when she is done with the other tests and ready to leave.
  9. Doc called again and said he is a little reserved but thinks she is improving as she can now sit up and is trying to stand. So they'll call me tomorrow morning for another update and then I can go visit if I want (duh!).
  10. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. The first e-vet mentioned that but said he didn't think that is what it was because of how she was presenting. The doc just called me and said her blood work is normal, except for a slightly low platelet count but he wasn't concerned and said this at least rules out infection. He's thinking stroke but wants to wait and see if she gets better, worse or has no change over the next 24hrs and then re-evaluate the need for an MRI etc... Thanks. I've heard that before but have never had to try it. Lets see if I have rice...
  11. I woke up to her whining at ~4am and noticed she had gotten sick. I got up, got dressed and when I asked her to get up to go out she couldn't. So off to the e-vet we went, their was nothing physical or obvious they could find so they referred me to a neurologist which we went to promptly. She's not in any pain and has feeling and mobility all over but they find that she is basically dizzy (hence the vomiting earlier). Right now they are doing blood work and other test on her to try and figure out what is affecting her brain to make her feel that way since all the typical reasons aren't there. An MRI may be in her future but the doc didn't want to start off with that in case blood work showed something. Then to top it all off, when I got home I wanted to wash what I was wearing as it had a lot of bodily fluids on it and I didn't realize my iPhone was in my jeans pocket until it got good and soaked. So good thoughts for my little Pinky pop would be appreciated.
  12. I'm sorry to hear about Odd Darrel. He was one of my favorites from Shoreline. RIP buddy...
  13. I've never heard that, but my two aren't due for another 2 years.
  14. It makes me sad reading this. Godspeed little Munchie.
  15. Good luck! 9 years with Cody and he still wont walk on certain floors. Sad thing is he walks on them fine when he doesn't realize he's on them.
  16. You say that as if I'm not still worried. I will stop worrying when she has returned totally to normal thankyouverymuch. I'm also heading out of town. I postponed leaving until tomorrow morning, but that's not helping my worry. No, no, I figured you were still worrying, hence my laughing dude.
  17. Thanks. This is exactly what I need to do. Was having a rough night anyway, have not had dinner (have stuff to cook but I don't see that happening) - think it's time to throw in the towel, order food and open a bottle of wine. Don't mention it. Hope your night gets better. When I need something quick to eat I grab a bowl of cereal, although I'm not sure that would go good with wine.
  18. Put down the calculator, close the vet md websites, drink some wine, stop over thinking it and have extra poop bags at the ready.
  19. No official diagnosis, the doc thinks it was just a cramp spasm. It hasn't happened again.
