  1. I was reading the recent toe threads in this forum and was relieved that neither of mine had damaged their toes, but then the inevitable happened... Dippy dislocated an outside toe on her front left foot whilst zooming round the garden. She screamed the GSOD, but I popped the toe back and immediately it was as if nothing had happened. No need for a quick trip to the vet, but I'm now wondering what next? Do I just leave things as they are and hope it doesn't dislocate again? I'll have to lead walk her for a while (a few weeks) so that she can't do zoomies outside, but not sure how to stop her inside! I'll speak to the vet - she's due her annual check this week - to see what they suggest too.
  2. Dippy lies on a rug which is under the kitchen table - that way she can be with me but not get in my way. Edited for typos!
  3. This is horrible, horrible news. Murphy is lucky to have found you - remember that dogs live in the moment so he'll be very happy being madly loved by you even though it's for far too short a time
  4. I have no idea what Jiffy mix is either - but would polenta do? Assuming you can get that!
  5. Tough decision. I'm pretty soft and tend to gravitate towards needy cases, but I don't think I would be in a position to take on this kind of financial responsibility.
  6. We use Tropiclean - but the gel rather than the water additive. I think it does a reasonable job with Rebel...Dippy hates the taste and runs away. We also use tooth cleaning treats (eg knuckle bones) regularly.
  7. Very sad to read of your loss. A lovely tribute.
  8. When my two do it then they've always been relaxed and it seems to be a friendly behavior. The one resting the head will often start to doze off
  9. What a relief that you were aware of the consequences of xylitol ingestion and Bootsy is now fine.
