I'm so sorry for your loss. Poor Baby Boy may have had a short life, but it was full of love.

Boots!! Bu cuts up his feet often (minor cuts and scrapes) so I usually just slide the boots on to keep blood from getting everywhere. Saline spray and first aid spray, bandage wrap, gauze, antibiotic ointment, hydrogen peroxide, metacam, and ottomax. I keep most of that in a bag in my car because I take him almost everywhere with me. As time goes on you'll find products you prefer. I keep things pretty basic.

Generally speaking, blood is easy to spot. If it's been an hour and a half since he's had any output, I would watch him carefully and see how he does. He's probably not eating because he feels sick. Is he comfortable lying down? If so, it's doubtful he has bloat. He probably ate something that bothered his belly or got a bit of a bug. 2 or 3 diarrhea accidents and vomit doesn't sound like an emergency situation to me. I would keep a close eye on him over the next day or so. If he doesn't get his appetite back by tomorrow or starts vomiting again, I'd bring him to the vet or e-vet.

I also use a glucosamine and chondriton pill for my grey. I buy the human meds at BJs or Costco.

I'm glad they are healing up. How are you healing up? I hope as well as the pups.

Whenever he's in the doorway and you bump into him to get by, say "move"*, he will get it pretty quickly. *Use any word that works for you.

Sometimes just turning a covered litterbox with the entrance facing the wall can help. Keep it about 4 to 6 inches from the wall and the cats can go it, but the dogs will have trouble.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. Tucker was such a teddy bear and it hurts my heart to know I'll never hear him moan and groan again or see him burrow into the snow or know he'll never try to lift my skirt again.

I'm a dogwalker and I've been walking Tucker for close to 5 years now. He died peacefully last night after steadily going downhill over the last few months. He was a big beautiful, blak english lab with a head like a mastiff. He had the best sense of humor of any dog I've ever met. He was goofy and sweet and verbal. He would moan and groan at you and it was easy to get him going. He loved to get love and would moan like he'd died and gone to heaven however you pet him and if you pet his belly just right he even purred. When you sat on the ground with him he would press his head into your chest until he knocked you over, then rub his head all over you just like he would bury his head in the snow. He never met a stranger and would smile and get all proud when he made you laugh. He was an all around great dog and we be greatly missed.

I agree with taking him for a checkup. How often is he at daycare? For some dogs it can get overwhelming if they are there 5 days a week. Is he still having seperation anxiety issues? If now, or if they are pretty mild, try only taking him to day care for 3 or 4 days (either Mon, weds, fri or every day bu weds) for a few weeks and see if that helps. He may just need some more chill time. (I've worked at doggy day cares and I'm a pet sitter, so I have seen this before.)

The longer its torn the better the chance of the other acl also tearing. I'm a pet sitter and I've seen it happen. They are happier after the surgery. I haven't seen it in a Grey though. poor thing. I hope she feels better soon. Did the vet check for impacted feces when she was having the poop issues?

I don't know how long you've had him,but it took my boy a month before heD leave his crate to spend time with me.

I'm sorry I'm just seeing this. It sounds to me like he dug a spider or snake up when he dug up your rose bush. I really hope he gets better soon.

Thanks everyone. He's not feeling well at all today. He's not really interested in food, so I bought some cans and ill give more raw until he feels a bit better. I think the muzzle is working well so ill keep using it. I hope he starts feeling better soon because he's really pathetic right now. Ill let you know if the stains come out.

He busted both ankles open. One needed 1 stitch and the other needed 2-4 (I forgot to ask). They did not do x-rays, in fact I would be shocked if anything was broken. They wrapped his legs well so he can't bend them easily to prevent them from opening up again and the wrap is to stay on for 72 hours. He's really doped up right now. He peed and pooped 2xs in the lobby while they were checking us out. He is wearing his k9 traveler boots and muzzle with duct tape over the lower half in front. I'm not sure where our e-collar is right now so the muzzle will have to do. They prescribed antibiotics and metacam and some spray for his ear and legs when the wraps come off. I'm not quite sure how, but he managed to scrape the back of his ear during the fall as well. He's. Pretty talented. Anyone know how to get blood off a concrete stoop so my clients don't come home to what appears to be a bloodbath?

I was walking Bu tonight with a clients dog. Bu was behind me and took a couple running steps and ran right into the other dogs leash. He went down hard on his wrist and screamed and screamed and screamed and half heartedly tried biting me when I tried to touch him. I saw what I thought was a shadow and realized it was a puddle of blood. He left a good trail of blood on the way to the house. I grabbed my keys and phone and threw him in the crate in the car. It doesn't look nearly as bad now as at the house, but they're giving him a couple stitches. Please send some good thoughts for a quick recovery. Thankfully they are trying to put him under to stitch him up.
