  1. Welcome from South Carolina...and hello again. We look forward to our collar and many more...
  2. Welcome from South Carolina. We're a little crazy here...so it's fun and educational.
  3. Welcome from South Carolina's two sweetest boys and their crazy mommy!
  4. I've had awesome success with my dalmatian. Not a hound, obviously, but it saved her from a rough back surgery.
  5. I give 1 pill every 6-8 hours if needed. That's what our vet told us to do.
  6. Welcome from South Carolina! Sounds like you have a full house, like mine!
  7. So sorry for your loss. We're very sorry.
  8. Lucius is 75 lbs....size 16 inch neck Timmy is 72 lbs - size 15.5 inch neck Get an adjustable for the first one....usually size medium. It ranges often from 15-18 inches and you should be fine. Congrats!
  9. Switched food a month and a half ago....smells super fresh. Timmy is on it too.
  10. So it's the last 3 ribs? Is that the official greyhound healthy weight? I've been confused because I've been told so many differant things....but the majority of what I've been told is last rib and be able to feel them all. My boys you can see the last rib and feel them all...but seeing the last 3 had Lucius looking skeletal. Are they overweight?
  11. Lucius has vomited 3 times in the past month. Once was in the car and it was HOT outside, so I figure that was just too much for him. (I know I was feeling nauseous in South Carolina hell heat) However, about 4 weeks ago he vomited up a little bit...and then ate it before I could get to it...and this morning he woke me up with a vomit. He's healthy, active, (almost a little too active to be a greyhound...lol) and has not lost weight. The vet says sometimes things just don't sit right so they do that and as long as it comes out and is not constantly hapenning he's ok....but what are your experiences?
  12. Hello and welcome from South Carolina!
  13. They don't do a home visit to see if they like the home themselves, they do it to make sure the dog is comfortable there and that it is a good environment. I am affiliated with a group and I have to say - if it's a good home then it just is. If you know the dog will not be taken care of or its life could be risked it is not a good home. The dogs in a group are in no danger so it is best to find the right home and place accordingly. If it was as easy as going to the pound it would have the same results: high turnoever and lots of strays and sad stories. Most resues and adption groups today do them...to make sure it's a good home. Anybody can have a pet...but not everybody treats it right.

  16. Hello and welcome from South Carolina. You have beautiful babies...and I agree...life is better with greyhounds. I see you may have a slight color preference... That's ok...both my boys are brindle babies. We tried to get a brindle galgo...but fell in love with our black and white boy instead.
  17. My boys will cough on occassion, to clear the throat or because they ate something too fast. I hope it's nothing serious and they he feels better soon.
  18. Welcome from South Carolina! I don't know the rescues up that way, but good luck!
