  1. Didn't know that. I've been using the Biotene for humans, that's what the vet had me get
  2. Just curious, did you do alone training with him?
  3. It's in the Biotene my vet recommended and according to him and UC Davis, the amount is not harmful. I've been using it on the dogs for more than 2 years now
  4. My friend, There is just no making sense of any of this, but I do know that you would lay your life down for your pups, and Cake knew just that. You know she did! And she has some very special Angels taking good care of her, and your son's little pup. You are in my thoughts and my prayers and know, I am always on the other end of the phone, day or night. God speed baby girl, for you truly know what it is to be so loved. Please watch over mom and help her now with her very broken heart
  5. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Miss Bonnie Twist, or a morning I don't look at her picture and miss her. A very special girl indeed!
  6. How long did they wait to re culture when the antibiotics were stopped?
  7. Ducky, please add Cake who perished in a house fire 2 days ago. Cake was a friend and fellow GT'er's Grey

    Katie

Beautiful Katie, I am so very sorry she needed to leave. God speed baby girl, for you truly know what it means to be loved. Please continue to watch over those who love you and are now left behind with broken heats
  9. Thank you to you and my nephew!

  10. I went through this with Misty and cleaning her after she pees and using the Desitin Creamy helped keep her comfortable and helped keep away a lot of the bacteria. She at times would still lick and the Desitin wouldn't hurt her, and using the creamy made it more difficult for her to lick off. I wouldn't use a diaper because that's just asking for more bacteria

    Harley

I am so very sorry, I too was following Harley's battle hoping. God speed to you baby boy, you fought with such dignity and grace. Please watch over those who love you and are left behind with broken hearts
  12. I am so sorry to read this. We will be keeping you both tucked in our prayers
  13. Dr Hunley is just down the street from me, and if anyone here from out of the area needs to have their pup seen or treated by him, our door is always open for as long as needed. Plenty of room here and comfort, and Ekko will promise to behave
  14. Most of mine have been on meds for bad arthritis, but never Pred. I have seen good enough results with the NSAID's which in just my opinion, are safer than the Steroids. They don't come without some risk, but I feel it's the lesser of 2 evils. Wayne, who has very limited motion in both rear legs, did well on an NSAID. Again, I know there are risks with the NSAID's but I do believe they are a bit easier on the kidneys and the liver than the Steroids. Tramadol is safe to use but I have not had to add it for any of the dogs. I hope you find the perfect combo to make Doc comfortable, what he went through was living hell and it sure would be nice if he could be comfortable. Pred is what caused Misty to go into total kidney failure however her kidneys were already compromised. But I can not help but hate that drug
  15. I remember something about them helping a GH and it was someone here who posted it, but I can't remember what exactly it was. Ocean State is just down the street from me and from what I have heard, they have quite a reputation
  16. This may sound like a long shot but it happened to my Tanner.H started dripping blood and it turned out after a little digging, it was a side effect of Metacam
  17. Same here, as a matter of fact, I have used shrimp every time I've had to teach one of mine how to use the dig door and I never shelled them
  18. Hi Linda, Not all vets go for this, but it's worth talking to him/her about getting the Trilostane from a compounding pharmacy. Good luck, Cushings is not a fun ride
  19. It truly is! It's the first product I can honestly say, does everything it claims to do. Wayne and Lenny both were due for dentals. After using the spray, I has the vet recheck and the vet and tech both were amazed and no dentals were needed
  20. We have Harley tucked very tightly in our prayers
  21. Ekko says hey to Tess Just checking back to see if Mary had posted pics yet, anxious to see her little girl
