  1. I had mentioned earlier that EZ would poop in the house when I went out, work, shopping, etc. Discovered that he was a double pooper. Now when I go out I make him go out for the second time and do not let him back into the house until he has had that second poop.........even with the SIBO problem it has worked. BTW in regards to his SIBO I was given permission to gradually change his diet from the low residue to Kirkland - I have got him now on 1/2 low residue (1 cup) and 1/2 Kirkland (1 cup) 2 x day and no problems - I am a little leary of increading the Kirkland -
  2. mine get a people cracker after meals, a treat when I go out (work, shopping, etc) if they have behaved, a large milk bone before the go to bed.........

  6. I received a phone call that my Son Al had passed away from that dreadful disease Cancer Liz of Canada when she heard about it sent me this lovely poem and I have sent it to many people for the loss of not only a human but also a beloved greyhound. Recently I sent it to the Director of Medical Imaging where I work who is also my boss. To all of you whether you have lost you beloved greyhound or a human please read and I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me My First Christmas in Heaven I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here. I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring, For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart. But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart. So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold you dear. And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year. I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above. I sent you each a memory of my undying love. After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold. was always most important the stories Jesus told. Please love and keep each other, my Father said to do. I can't count the blessing or love has for each of you. So have a Merry Christmas and Wipe away that tear Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year

  11. EZ usually has his in the middle of the night
  12. I wish that was true, he had all the symptoms of a seizure - urinating and the foaming and the thrashing
  13. Thanks Xan and of course he had to have one the day before David's birthday
  14. just about drinking a lot of water but then so does his half brother Penske
  15. Stress, the big D, and of course SIBO for the one in September - this one I don't know just wait and see if he has another one..........
  16. someone sent him a card saying "Angels kiss you" I have that on his headstone - Angels Kiss You Beloved Husband
  17. yes he does and he is up there having a blast - at least we know that he is taking care of all our Angels
  18. Thank you yo all of you I have so many fond memories of David and as I have said before it is my pups that keep me going they helped me through the loss of my son Al Xmas Eve morning of 2007 and his twin sister Nov. 30, 2009. My twins would of been 53 on Sept 11, David was their step dad.....and much younger than me
  19. yes he is Phenobarbital 2 grains/2xday and KBr 500 mg 1xday plus his thyroid med and Tylan for SIBO - has a neurologist also, plus a vet for his SIBO and his regular vet
  20. yes so many people remember David in the Greyhound World and I am so gland that he came to Dewey in 2008 even tho he was sick and just post op about 6 weeks - Dewey was his vacation even with all the pups and he was very happy about meet Xan, Peggy and quite a few others
  21. Yesterday at 3 am EZ had another seizure and this time when he came out of it he was not acting his normal self - more confusion than ever - looking at me as if he did not know me - losing his balance with the left read leg, noticed that his left front foot was turned under for a little bit but he straightened that out. Another thing of all his seizures except for the 3 that he fell out of bed he is usually laying on his right side while he is seizing. He also seems to be drinking more water than normal, when I went to work and came home he had peed on the rag rug and a large puddle of pee in the middle of the room - he usually does not do that only if I don't let him out right before I leave for work and I am only gone for about 4 hours...... His last seizure was 9/22/2011 and his neuro vet thinks it was from everything that was involved when he was in the hospital and diagnosed with SIBO
  22. Today would of been my Big Blue Eyed Bear's 53rd. Birthday. There is never a day that goes by that I don't think of him and so many things in this house that gives me some fond memories. I miss him so much and there are times/days that I wish I was with him. If it was not for my pups I don't think I could go on now that he is gone
  23. That is how EZ was with the exception of the bile - stinky poop and gas - he is just about normal - with formed bm but sometimes soft and he is a double pooper so his second poop is very loose - at least we do not have that brown water big D. He is more alert If Robin keeps this up insist that they check him for SIBO - or ask about Bactrim and tylan to give him - Penske and Arby had loose stool and put them on Tylan and it got them on the right track
