sorry I goofed David passed away in 2009 - it was my son Al who passed away in 2007

EZ was the last pup we got together we adopted EZ August of 2008 and David passed away May 2007

yes it was and I had to go chasing my trash can and lid - there mus of been one heck of a reunion up there with EZ, David and my other pups and all of the Bridge Angels

This was posted on another message board in the Shout Box Hi Beryl, I am so sorry about EZ. Bless his heart. But this explains all the wind from his tail wagging when he saw David!!! What a wonderful day in Heaven.

I have to keep telling myself You don't need 4 bowls you only need 3 You don't need 4 Milk Bones you only need 3 You don't have to medicate at 7 am, 8 am, 4 pm & 7 pm You do not have to stand outside and wait for EZ to plop so you can make sure his SIBO is not acting up You do not have to put the gate up anymore to keep the other pups away from EZ at night in case he has a seizure It is so hard to change the routine that I was so used to and now the other pups are so used to staying downstairs at night they do not come up when I go to bed..........

I wish to thank my Greyhound Family for all their kind thoughts and shoulders to lean on. I especially have to thank Jan for posting EZ's carrot videos. So many of you have sent e-mails that are too numerous for me to answer individually - tears are still blurring my vision. Again Thank you for caring

Jan is one of my RBG buddies and she is such an angel for posting the videos of EZ screaming for his carrots and carrying it around like a cigar - he was quite a character. One other thing he used to do when i was on the phone he would yammer

EZ loved his carrots and used to scream for them I had a short video of him doing that plus he used to carry them like a cigar I'm sure my SW PA girl Lucky met him at the Bridge to tell him where all the best carrot spots and people were. She could eat an entire bag of baby carrots by herself if we let her. At the end, we said that her eyes and ears might not have worked anymore, but her nose sure did. She could smell it from two rooms away when we took carrots out of the fridge. I wish I knew how to down load those short videos to show you how he was with his carrots and he wanted the huge ones that I used to buy for him at GFS the ones used in restaurants. He would walk over to a bed holding it straight out like a cigar

Yes his Daddy and a lot of our Bridge Angels met him when he arrived - hope they had carrots for him

I had to let EZ go this morning - he starting having seizures at Midnight and even medicated clustered, each time when he came out of the seizure he was not himself, had a problem getting him into the car and was crying when I tried to hoist him up. finally got him in the passenger side. ER Vet also noticed that he was not functional and very confused. He told a Animal Communicator he was a broken dog and the vet said maybe he was telling her he had enough. Run free EZ and I know your Aunt Softee was there to greet you

EZ gets 1 cup low residue Iams and 3/4 cup Kirkland Kibble Penske & Arby -get 1 3/4 cup Kirkland Kibble Hershey gets 1 cup Kirkland Kibble they all get about 1 tablespoon of canned food and 1 oz water and are fed 2 x day. EZ is on the low residue Iams due to Sibo

The pheno did not make him stagger, he was zapped by the lure when he was racing and I think that is what caused his seizures glad you got a good report on Angel - again hope the vet finds the right combination for her

Oh I am so sorry these seizures are so scary - praying for you that the vets will get her under control - EZ has a neuro vet and he is in the same building as the ER along with a few other specialists -

He is doing okay is his normal sassy self, me still trying to recoup my sleep - LOL

EZ has SIBO have to be careful of what I give him

I need the sleep not Mr. EZ as he is back to normal - it would not of been so bad if I did not have to go to work. I could of called off but had a meeting so had to go in all bleary eyed - now I am off till Tuesday - one of the advantages of only working 7 hrs/week. I am a casual employee and at my age don't need any more time out of the house that way will have more time to make gh coats and be able to donate some to worthy causes

Wednesday Morning at 3 am EZ had another seizure - this one only lasted about 45 seconds but the post time was much longer than usual - after a seizure he has to go outside to relieve himself (BM & Pee) even tho he peeded quite a bit during the seizure - this goes on 2 to 3 times - in and out. Gave him a dose of phenobarbital and 1 cup of his special dry food (Low residue) which he ate....He almost took me down the steps when I was taking him downstairs and then he was very confused, staggering for close to an hour afterwards. The staggering was very unusual for him as he usually comes out of it quickly. Called the neuro vet office but of course he was off on Wednesday but left a message for documentation As of Wednesday afternoon seemed to be back to normal but then Mom was another story - I am still trying to catch up on my sleep

My boys I feed 2 cups per feeding 2 x day with about 1 T canned food and about 1 oz of water mixed in - they both weigh around 100 lbs Hershey gets about 1 1/4 cup 2 x day with the same amount of water and canned food Vet happy with their weight I use Kirkland Kibble but with EZ as he has SIBO I used 1 cup low residue dog food along with 1 cup Kibble and he did lose about 4 lbs which is good for him - he is also a seizure pup and just had another one Wednesday morning

Oh Jan I grieve with you and have tears writing this - I wish I was nearer to you to give you me shoulder to lean or cry on, my hand to hold or to give you a hug.........All I can do is say I am so sorry and I know the feeling of a loss of a beloved friend.........
