  1. This is what EZ has and humans get it too http://www.google.com/search?q=Intestinal+Bacterial+Overgrowth+in+dogs&i Flagyl did not help him he is on Bactrim and tylan and it is called SIBO
  2. EZ's Report says Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (Zoasis)if that helps Robin
  3. Hookworm was the first diagnosis but as the idiots combined the stool sample I brought in for all four pups they did not know which one had hook worms - it only show one dog with hook - so if we knew which one then we probably would not have had to go the route we did to get EZ on the road to recovery
  4. I was told to keep EZ on tylan I hope Robin's big D is cured soon
  5. will do Robin - found out from another gh person that there were quite a few greys in this area with the big D don't know if it was as bad as EZ's
  6. don't know the name of it right now but they are mailing me the report and hopefully will have it by Wednesday - I went the route of hook worm, plus the pancur and the flagyl and none of that worked - even Kaopectate and Metamucil. All told between my vet and the ER & Internal Medicine with hospitalization have have paid out close to $3,000.
  7. I hope Robin does not have what EZ had I would ask your vet to check for a bacteria infection like EZ had---EZ is on tylan and bactrim - you can get tylan without a prescription on line I am getting mine from KV Vet Supply but you can also get it through Amazon and a few other places unless you live in California then you need a prescription
  8. Is your Robin better? I played with my regular vet until I went to the ER I should of gone to the ER first
  9. Thank you Dick I was getting very concerned there
  10. Thank you and each and everyone Thank you for your prayers and moral support we are almost 100%
  11. got some information that he had a bacterial infection have to continue with the tylan and special dog food - asked for a copy of the report
  12. This morning it is formed 99% still a little soft but formed - very perky and is playing with the other pups, doing playbow,
  13. after breakfast looks like it is starting to form but still soft which is much better than the water he had for 3 weeks This morning was the first time since he came home from the hospital that he was excited to eat before he would just lie on his bed until I put the food down today he was bouncing around
  14. EZ had a good night better than Mom waiting to see how his morning bm is aftr he eats
  15. Internal Medicine Vet called - said she spoke to Neurologist and they said that they are not worried about the seizure as the new medicine and protocol might of caused it - still keep him on the bland diet can have his people crackers in moderation and his Milk bone at night keep treats to a minimum - he cannot have his carrots - poor baby he cries for them.........
  16. don't know waiting to hear back from his neuro vet and also the Internal Medicine Vet
  17. I don't know why but he had a seizure around 9:20 pm - I wonder if they did not dose him with the proper amount of Phenobarbital and Potassium Bromide while he was in the hospital - he usually does not have seizures at this time but in the we hours on the morning..........
  18. he had his first bm since he came home and at least it is not water but pudding consistency hope this gets better
  19. don't need a script unless you live in California and yes that is it try kv vet supply also
  20. yes it is the one you sprinkle on the food now praying that all his tests are negative
  21. I have him home - no more flagyl but he is now on Baytril and Tylan plus a bland diet until I hear further after they get his labs back
  22. Is it good news or bad news Vet said they are still waiting for lab work to come back and to safe me some money they will discharge him with the new medications - can go pick him up in an hour. They are now treating him for an infection. It will be according to his labs of how they will proceed to the next stage - which could be a biopsy - hope we don't have to go that route - btw one of the meds he is now on is tygan
  23. he has been transferred to Internal Medicine and the tech just told me no D this am, eating a bland diet waiting to hear from his vet
  24. have him on IV's, antibiotics , feeding him a bland diet, waiting for a radiologist to read his ultra sound, not sure if he will be transferred to internal medicine tomorrow but I should get a call around noon or 1 pm...
