  1. YAY for clean margins, keeping you alll in my thoughts and prayers.
  2. I am actually quite OK and just ordered Elsie's winter coat and a new very special collar. With all the good things we have going on, ie: clean margins, grade 1, encapsulated , etc... she will be FINE. Right???
  3. Jeez, it's so hard to believe a year has gone by- I remember like yesterday. hugs.

    Bye Bye Birdie

What a sweet looking birdie. I laughed and cried at your tribute. Fly free Sweet Birdie
  5. We've been there done that. Not a good situation all the way around, for sure. No need to beat yourself up, all you wanted was good for your pup and unfortunately our love alone can not sustain them. our Polli was a very young 9.5. While coming up the steps , she tripped and fractured her left front leg. We amputated immediately because if the fracture. I'm not sure what we would have done had she not had the fracture. with the fracture it was amputated immediately or say good bye at that very moment. that wasn't an option. so, we amputated-did chemo and had almost 5 months before we had to say goodbye, best of luck with whaever decision you come to.
  6. your first statement is very encouraging! the 2nd one was one of a bittersweet feeling. thank you.
  7. A quick search for "adenocarcinoma" in the forum shows relatively few hits. Looks like OSU has studied mammary adenocarcinoma, and notes that with clean margins, prognosis is good. I couldn't believe how few hits on GT too. AJ- I have been on OSU sites and PDF and could find nothing. Can you link me please?
  8. 8 pounds for Polli. She was 61 and went down to 53. We got her back up to 56. that is where we wanted her to be.
  9. Prayers for the Flashman. Hugs to you.
  10. I don't remember seeing too many threads on this. Elsie was just diagnosed with adencarcimona, stage 1 with clean margins. Anyone else have a greyhound with this?
  11. THANK YOU EVERYONE. Once again (again) your support and caring words are overwhelming. I am a bit shellshocked. I still feel it will be OK. I hope that's not denial.
  12. Elsie has adenocarcioma. Size- 1.3 tumor. Grade 1- clean margins. Vet emailed Dr. Couto for treatment. Elsie has 3-4 other miniscule tumors that she feels are nothing at this point- but they do have to come out. Not today, tomorrow, but sometime in the not too distant future. Vet feels that this this is the best of a bad situation. We are waiting to hear how Dr. Couto want us to proceed. Please, once again, keep my sweet cowgirl of my dreams in your thoughts and prayers.
  13. Thanks all. She doesn't know she had surgery. In fact, she doesn't know she is 10 either. She is a hard pup to keep down for long. She does know, however that some arse is setting off fireworks! The tumor was just below the skin, easy to come out so I talking myself into it's benign. B-9! That's what my update with Elsie will report. it's funny, I am not stressing at all about this. I have to remind myself that this happened. I hope that's a good sign.
  14. I can't believe it's been a year. Run free Ranchie.
  15. Oh how sad. I am so sorry.
  16. What a turrn around! Keep up the good work, Joey!
  17. Many prayers for you and your baby.
  18. So true. I agree. Very relieved for you guys.
  19. Just received an email from my vet who is out of the office today because her 2 year old is sick. The lab is back logged and won't have our results until Thursday or Friday, the latest. Bummer.
  20. It WILL be nothing. Bev- holding you and sweet Darcy close in my thoughts and prayers.
  21. Continued prayers for Jake- happy to hear Chase is doing well!
