  1. I am doing just fine. I expect a call today, tomorrow at the outside latest with pathology results. I am concerned, a bit worried- but I am also hopeful that they will all be benign and Elsie will be that smiling, happy, crazy loving girl with me for the next 5years. From my lips...
  2. oh Lord, are they ever and I love them all so very much!
  3. I am so sorry. I know what it;s like to have a dog traumatized after surgery. Prayers for good news about the bx.
  4. thanks for asking--- once again no one bothered to tell her she had surgery yesterday. She really amazes me. I am trying to keep this happy lunatic quiet today!!!
  5. Thinking about you today, Holly and hoping for good news from your moms surgery too. Please let me know.
  6. Elsie is home. When I got there- I waited for them to get her. I saw her walking down the hall- head hung low. They opened the door and she saw me- she perked right up- wagged her tail, smiled that smile at me and I cried. She is home. She is home. She is home. Alls right with the world.

  8. Elsie is out of surgery, all 4 lumps removed and sent out for biopsy. She is waking up now. My poor baby, all cut up. Now we wait for the biopsies. Thank you all for your prayers.
  9. No update- just my stomach is in knots. Tick, Tick, Tick. Elsie never cries or whines. She cried and whined almost all the way to the vet. She knew.
  10. I am very sorry for the loss of this special boy. (ps off- topic- your screen name was my license plate for many years. nvrzanvr)
  11. Im about to leave to take Elsie to the vet. Unfortunately, she will not have her surgery until about noon. She had nothing to eat except a milkbone yesterday becasue of the T-storms we had on and off from 4Pm on. I can not believe how badly it is for her. I will update as soon as I get the call from the vet.

oh Paul, i am so sorry. Run Free sweet Lucky. You sure were "lucky".
  13. Totally heartbreaking. i am so sorry.
  14. As stated above Amanda and my PMs to you, I would ask your vet to use the imuran with the pred as it is very common and most effective. You will have to monitor hos bloods while on it to check his liver. We were doing it every 3-4 weeks in the beginning, now we do it every 2 months but we are lowering it. it comes in 50mg pill and it is a human drug. We get it at CVS 30 for about $37.00.
  15. Elsie will be going in for her 2nd and GOD willing , her last round of surgery to remove the 4 tumors (lumps) we found. They are tiny, tiny lumps. The lump we had removed almost a month ago was a lot bigger and cancer. The margins were clean and it was Stage one. As long as the margins are once again clean/stage one or even better benign, we are done. We ill have to keep her under a mircroscope to ensure they don't grow back. Elsie is 10. Please keep Ms. Elsie in your thoughts and prayers for another uneventful surgery and recovery. Look at this smile! Her breast cancer collar:
