She was on Interceptor until discontinued and is on sentinel now. Both pull forms.

She's currently taking carprofen, tramadol and gabapentin. Can aspirin still be given? Or do we need to pull carprofen first?

Shanti was at the vet Wednesday with similar issues. $800 later and I'm not done so I feel your pain! Vet suspected a FCE. What I was told in FCE is it subsides as the blockage breaks up. They will improve in time. Physical therapy is what is recommended if you look it up. There is an absence of pain with it. They recommended a mri, neurologist and now ultrasound and cardiologist for my girl. I'm doing what I can, but I am working with limited resources as well. Had this happened a week ago, I'd be dead in the water. Hope your baby improves!!!

Vet mentioned her protein issues could cause it too. What causes the protein t skew so? No, not a lot of heartworm here and we have not traveled to anywhere around here that it is prevalent.

Shanti is having more stability problems tonight. Got a run down on Shantis bloodwork. Red blood cells are good Platelets are low White cells are elevated Chem protein: Globulin high 5.9 Albumin tad low 2.6 Excess protein in urine Liver good Kidney function normal Blood sugar fine Muscle hst elevated Muscle CPK elevated 1900 (895 is high of normal) Heartworm borderline positive Urine was high protein So...we are going to retest heartworm next Saturday. We will return blood panel in 2-3 weeks after we get her stabilized on meds. Depending on those results we treat for heartworm and move on to bi cavity ultrasound to see what's going on. X-rays were all fine.

I'm not sure how it was tested. I'll ask. This could explain her episode the other day of a clot or larva broke free. And I'm guessing my other dog will have it too! She's a poo eater. but she's also in meds for heartworm

Miss shanti has had a rough 2 days. Yesterday she was paralyzed on my floor. She spent the day at the vets and a bunch of tests run. Good news is she's somewhat mobile again. Disturbing news was blood work showed "boarder line positive" for heart worm. She's been on heartworm meds for as long as I've owned her, 9 years! Her thyroid test was off, but she didn't have meds that day, muscle tests were off and CBC was up. She has valley fever too, has had that for 7 years or more. Missed the vets call so I'll find out more tomorrow. Poor girl has never caught a break!

Yes. He tried to get Asti. No go! Although he claims she is his dog so I've read. Those girls are mine, all mine. I will protect them like my kidlets! I've heard he's not allowed animals in his rental house.

3 years ago I had to let her go. I did it on my own and that was probably the hardest thing ever. She was my heart dog. She was a rescue that took years to settle down. God love her, she destroyed everything from shoulder height down and became friends with all the cops called on her. 2 years later, she took a vow of silence and loved everyone and everything. Her world was safe and secure! I was out of town with my boys for the 4th and she was home with now ex. She became paralyzed while I was gone and was left there as "the party had to go on". She did not deserve to be put through that on what turned out her last days. I came home and took her to the vet. I was told even trumps mo ey couldn't fix her. With that I kissed her goodbye. I miss her everyday and wish her last days were different. Till we see each other again Nala! Love you girl!!!'

Tomorrow is her birthday. I pray for her family as it will be so hard. Emily had just finished a class last semester on death and dying. She posted a lot on it. She had to plan her funeral and write her eulogy. She posted her presentation on FB. She was not to leave us till 2057 and she was married to Michael. So not fair.

A firemans worst fear!!!!!

Senseless tragedy!!!! I will miss her. I pray for her kids, fiancé, family and friends. She left a imprint on my life. I'm thankful for that.

Lucy there was a love and bond so strong between you and Bari!!! You have it with Puz and Legs, and you had it with Riley. I have been lucky enough to hang out with you on several occasions and saw it. Amazing!!!! They are blessed to have found their way to you and vica versa. Riley and Jabari are reunited and you will see them again. May you smile more at the memories than shed tears at the loss. As I already told you, let me know if there is anything I can do. Miss you! He's one I remember. Probably the biggest greyhound I've seen! So sweet standing on the bed in Solvang years ago. I'm so sorry he was not able to stay forever. You are right, cancer sucks!

Noooooooo!!!!! VF mimics it in X-rays. I pray the blood work proves the X-rays wrong!!!!! The blood work cleared Shanti. I'm praying for the same on Spudzilla. So not fair.
