Malignant hyperthermia is considered a medical emergency. What I find really strange is that the medication that is used to help reverse malignant hyperthermia, Dantrolene, is not kept on hand in most vet offices.

Have had the same issue with my little Miss Rose, a nine year old bou7nce. No diabetes, no thyroid, no uti, no diabetes insipitus, kidneys are working better than mine, no cortisol issues, ultrasound showed no adrenal masses, couldn't find a darned thing. We chalked this polydipsia up to ???.

Having worked Neurology/Neurosurgery for the last 25+ years, it does not behave like a seizure, focal or otherwise. It doesn't seem to bother Rose and short of hooking her up for a doggy EEG, we're (me and the vet)not going to do anything about it for the moment. If it changes then we will look a little deeper.
