My 'pscyho' kitty, who thankfully, outgrew that stage many years ago I'll never forget the day I came home from my dishwashing job, hot and sweaty, and Miss Amber (then, a tender aged 5) and her babysitter said 'LOOK at what we found'!!!!! They piled you into my arms, a tiny damp mess (they did try their best to give you a flea bath), I couldn't even tell what color your eyes were because they were literally sealed shut from infection. You were just inches from the main road in town when they found you. You were maybe 5 weeks old. I'll never forget your early psycho stage, those crazy antics where out of the blue, you would bolt across the room and up the back of a chair, chasing things none of us could see. I'll never forget your propensity to hide under furniture, waiting for the hapless, unsuspecting ankle to walk past, going in for the attack (oh oh oh were those little claws sharp). And so you were affectionately named after Norman Bates from the movie 'Psycho'. You blossomed into a beautiful, dignified lady kitty, gentle, yet able to hold her own with the other kitties. You gave me so many years of joy, and so, in turn, I have given you freedom from your cancer. My heart hurts, and I wait to see that sign that you have crossed the bridge safely.
