It was recommended for almost any issue as a low dose AB, but tasted terrible so you had to buy empty gelatin capsule and fill them with the powder yourself. Used to be able to buy in bulk off Amazon as a chicken AB, I think!! I'm convinced that GT got Tylan powder taken off the OTC market and moved to Rx only!!! But something like that mite be what she needs going forward. I think I breathed in my lifetime maximum dose of Tylan while filling capsules. The misuse of antibiotics and other livestock and fish meds by people was what did-in Tylan for us. I used to be able to walk into the farm supply store and buy a jar of Tylan powder as well as dewormers etc. The FDA went on a massive initiative to have all of those meds require a prescription from your vet.
