EmilyM
I have never had a dog watch TV before but I’m sure Benji does! When we first got him he used to jump up at the TV with excitement whenever dogs come on screen, now he just watches intently with his ears pricked. Last night we were watching the animal intelligence episode of explained on Netflix, and Benji was enthralled, especially with the dogs looking at themselves in a mirror. When the octopus came on screen, he whimpered and hid his head under the cushion! No ocean documentaries for us haha.
DocsDoctor
That's very cute None of mine have ever watched TV, but Doc my first greyhound was initially very puzzled by the sounds mine produced. There was a bird flu outbreak on I think, so lots of news footage with the sound of shut-in chickens in the background - he would wake up and try and peer round the back of the TV to find the birds each time! EmilyM
Aw bless him!! It’s only really the animal shows that interest him, he’s slept all through the Gilmore girls!
EllenEveBaz
Wonder what Benji would do watching a movie where a dog is the main character -- Lassie? RinTinTin? Beethoven? My first grey, Eve, never paid attention to the tv until one night when a National Geographic special was on about greyhound racing. Then she went berserk trying to get to those dogs. And we had a cat who used to try to catch the legs of anyone dancing on tv. Particularly humorous with ballet. LBass
How cute! My hounds don't seem interested in watching TV, though sounds from computers and phones do sometimes get their attention. HeyRunDog
Guinness is another one who takes an interest in the sounds from the TV especially if it's dogs barking, whining etc. although he occasionally looks at the screen. Grace couldn't care less.
