skellyk
I was feeding my dawg the same dry food with same type protein for about three years until I learned it should be changed regularly. How often should it be changed? Thanks in Advance !
LaFlaca
I don't know the official, veterinary answer to this question. I have always rotated my dogs' food, intuitively I guess. What I do is buy a 12 -15 lbs. bag of kibble and as that bag is almost empty I buy another with a different protein source. Since I always add canned food to the kibble, I buy as many different protein sources as I can and rotate those. I also feed organ meats, sardines canned in water and canned mackerel. In short, as varied a diet as possible. Quote Irene ~ Owned and Operated by Jenny (Jenny Rocks ~ 11/24/17) ~ JRo, Jenny from the Track Lola (AMF Won't Forget ~ 04/29/15 -07/22/19) - My girl. cleptogrey
some people do it regularly- some wait until there is a problem. that's me. i just changed from focus salmon/rice to chicken with out missing a beat. my theory- if it works don't fix it. it wasn't working- so i fixed it. Batmom
There's no reason to rotate if your dog is doing well on the food. Was it from a qualified veterinarian with a background in nutrition? And familiarity with greyhounds? Or was it some rando on the internet masquerading as an expert, trying to get me to go on their website and buy their endorsed products?
